Meet Josh Price of Joshdpraw Photography in North Hollywood

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am 22 years old. I moved to LA from the East Coast 4 years ago. I am a freelance photographer and videographer. I decided to start freelancing about half a year ago. I enjoy taking pictures of just about anything on my down time, but I specialize in events, portraiture, concerts.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth. Working with low budget equipment and being a college student has brought on numerous roadblocks, but with hard work and dedication, anything can be overcome. Especially in a creative field, it is easy to become discouraged about our art due to social media and everyone’s opinions, but I have learned if you love what you create then the hate does not matter.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Joshdpraw Photography – what should we know?
I work with numerous nightclubs and influencers that host parties. I travel to different locations around Los Angeles, shooting different events and clubs to help promote them. I also work with students, families, models, and artist to help them create images that we both are satisfied with and to achieve the desired goal, whether it be headshots, family shots, action shots, etc. I am most proud of the workflow that I have acquired upon creating this company. There are no days off.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I firmly believe in the Law of Attraction, and Hard work is always paid off. If you are consistent and put everything you have into your desired field, then there is no reason success should not come with. It may take a lot of time, but it will happen. I also believe that if you love doing something, you will make as much time possible for it.
