Meet John Bentley of Bentley Enterprises Inc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Bentley

Hi John, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was a student athlete at the University of Minnesota from 1987-1992 and earned my undergraduate degree in Speech, English and Theater. Instead of going to the combine or following up on an invite from an NFL team, I decided to continue schooling to get my Master’s Degree in Theater. After earning my MFA in 1995 I got married and moved to LA soon after. Tenacity, training, coaching, a lot of prayer, hard work and audition after audition have all gotten me to where I am now!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh no… nothing is smooth about trying to pursue a career as an actor in the entertainment business. There were far more “No’s” than “Congratulations you booked it’s” in my journey. I always say that being an actor allows you to have tougher skin and more drive than the average person pursuing most careers. There have so been many adjustments, other jobs, reimagining and tough times that I’ve experienced. The focus of being an actor was greatly viewed differently when we started having children. It became more about raising my family than focusing on just my craft and my wife. Responsibility and accountability helped me change things up for the better.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Bentley Enterprises Inc. I incorporated during Covid in 2020, which was a total leap of faith given that the world had “shut down” so to speak. ?
Bentley Enterprises Inc. has been a blessing! Aside from my services as an actor, I have been able to team up with my wife and son to collaborate on a children’s book, “Do You Know The One”. We’ve also been able to contribute to so many nonprofit organizations with time, talent, finances and donations.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think that communication, empathy and love are a rarity in the world we live in today. To me, it is a must to try to reach people, and let them know that integrity and care still exists in humanity. It would be a shame for me not to share joy and encouragement with the platform I’ve been blessed with.
