Hi Jimmy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story started after the passing of my mother in 2017, I was directionless on how to digest all of her items in the house, personal accents and valuable items. after a long drawn out liquidation with no direction, I decided to endeavor in the Estate Sale industry. I felt there was a real need in the marketplace for families to turn to when the unexpected happens, and they are clueless with how to deal with all of the accumulated items over the years. That set the tone and the conviction to guide families to make the most out of a sometimes bad situation. We have set a protocol for every detail from the pricing from the staging from the logistical protocols, to marketing.Being a true value partner in the process of Liquadation, and divesting personal assets.
We believe giving back and helping people has made our career meaningful and fulfilling.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In most businesses, the biggest obstacle is finding the right people for the endeavor of wearing many hats, and being good at them, from selling( salesmanship) Curating and staging, ( must have the eye for it) Being compassionate and understanding with clients needs, and researching items that may have high value or counterfeit or fakes.
Also finding a happy medium with aligning expectations with our clients, ( everyone thinks their Grandmas China Set and antiques are worth a fortune) they are usually not.
