Meet Jenna Hooks of West San Fernando Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Hooks

Hi Jenna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I had my daughter on November 18, 2017 and my life changed forever, I was a Stay at home Mom, which I loved! I got to see every moment of her life, but it was so much harder than I ever imagined, I did not have any friends with kids, so I felt very isolated and alone, I was searching for a way to meet other moms and I found FIT4MOM. I joined immediately and started going to all of the classes and playdates and made so many friends. When my daughter started pre-k I decided I wanted to teach. I went through the process to become a Certified instructor and then about a year later the previous owner wanted to sell the business. I was already teaching most of the classes so I decided to take over! It has been the best decision I have ever made. I have something of my own now, which I didn’t realize how much I needed. I still get to be home with my daughter and even bring her with me when she is off from school. I love meeting new moms and introducing them to safe space. A place where they are not alone and have a village of other moms to lean on. They get to get outside in the sunshine and do a workout with their kids in tow, no expensive childcare or fancy gym needed.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Time management and delegating was hard for me at first, it wasn’t as simple and just teaching classes, I was now organizing everything and doing all of the administrative work as well. Once I was able to let go a little and hire a team things got a lot easier.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
FIT4MOM offers pre and postnatal health, wellness, and fitness programs for every stage of motherhood. All of our programs were created by moms for moms to provide Strength in Motherhood®. We have Franchises all over the US.

One of the things that really sets us apart from other workout classes is we focus on building community, the moms get to know each other at classes and the littles get to bond as well, but we also have a Book Club, Mom’s Night Out, Clothing and Toy swaps, playdates and more. There is always something going on in the community to get the moms out of the house.

I am so proud to own my Franchise. I know that I am making a difference in the lives of mothers, because it’s so much more fun (and easier) to do Motherhood with other moms.

Any big plans?
I plan to expand further into Northridge and Calabasas, I want to continue to grow and meet more moms in the process.
