Today we’d like to introduce you to Jake Leach

Hi Jake, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Jake Leach better known as his stage name JAKAII is one of one, elevating the new generation of electronic dance music to an extreme level of unheard boundaries. The Los Angeles native grew into JAKAII on the island of Hawaii. Quickly he earned the respect of the Honolulu’s music industry by his loud presence and high energy sets, JAKAII proves undoubtedly his own unique style keeps the dance floor moving every show always leaving the audience wanting more. As a DJ and Producer, JAKAII continues his mission of elevating the scene with his music and extraversion personality. JAKAII without a doubt creates the perfect experience for each fan and will let his name speak volumes.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes, there is always obstacles especially in the music industry. From getting shows to learning how to produce music, everything is constantly evolving. There is a constant change of trends which myself as an artist to be adaptable and make my own sound. Making a switch temporally from LA to Hawaii was a huge factor in building my brand. It was not easy going to a new state and city where I had no friends and family. Ultimately it shaped my character and grew my brand stronger. I have learned how to be comfortable while being uncomfortable.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My name is Jake Leach aka Jakaii Artist & music producer from San Pedro, California. I moved to the sandy beaches of Hawaii in 2020 to attend University of Hawaii Manoa and started to work in the music industry to get by. I owe so much to the island of Hawaii and the community that helped shaped me into the person I’am today. Since then, I have traveled the world playing from Las Vegas, Reno , Seattle , Hawaii and many more places. I have supported legendary artists like Steve Aoki, Illenium, ARMNHMR , Disco Lines and plenty more. Proving my style of tech house music and unforgettable stage presence during my live shows are undoubulty one of a kind. As a 22 year old I have built a buisness off my brand letting me grow as an independent artist working on putting out more music on bigger labels and playing huge stages around the world. I’am most proud of my headline acts throwing my own shows in Hawaii and selling them out. It has brought me fulliment through my music by making new connections with fans and spreading positivity. Dance music is tunneling my passion in the world. I’am really about this life and work for it 24/7 my train is moving I can’t wait for everyone to join the ride.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was winning CIF in football as a varsity athlete playing strong safety beating Dorsey my junior year 22-20. Football taught me reps makes you better. Having courage to undoubtedly be yourself is the biggest strength any person can gain and achieve from. I’ve learned the life lesson of working hard week in and week out to achieve a high standard goal is the key to a successful life and Buisness.
