For years now, traveling has been my passion. I have been to every continent except Australia and Antartica which are on my buck list. I wanted to turn my passion and love for traveling into a career. A lot of people would reach out to me to ask about traveling tips and info on the places I visited. I started off by booking trips and creating itineraries for my family and friends. Then I slowly started planning big trips for my coworkers. After a few years of planning out trips for people, I wanted something official for myself. I officially launched H & M Travel Agency this past May, and since then the business has been a hit. My website hannameetsworld.com is a place people can go to get info on various countries I have visited, as well as book travel for a free travel consultation.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a new business has not been a smooth road. I have a lot of people that reach out to book travel, I spend hours putting packages together and don’t hear from them when I follow up. However, I do understand that its apart of the game, and that everything is not easy in the beginning. The process of getting the business established and the back end was also a struggle as I did everything on my own. I had no guidance, but I researched and figured it out as I was going.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about H & M Travel Agency – what should we know?
I have a fully operating Travel Agency called H & M Travel Agency (Hanna Meshesha). I curate customized vacation packages, itineraries, and do travel consulting. I normally work on group trips out of the country. I have traveled to over 20 countries and still counting. What I am most proud of as a company is how fast my business has taken off, within a month of launching I have planned over 20 vacations for clients. What sets me apart is my insight on various countries, and how much time I take to create personalized trips for people. I want people to vacation and make memories of a lifetime. I make it my duty to open my client’s eyes to different experiences, to try new things, and to submerge into the culture of where they are visiting.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being personable, BEING A HUMAN. I operate my business by being as real as I can with my clients. Building true relationships with them, that way they send referrals and keep coming back. I follow through till the end and make sure they are satisfied every step of the way. People want to work with people.
