Meet Giada Andruccioli

Today we’d like to introduce you to Giada Andruccioli.

Hi Giada, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I had my first experience in the US in 2015 along in the East Cost. I got invited to my school best friend’s wedding and I couldn’t speak a single word. I decide to move to LA the year after from Riccione, a small town by the Adriatic Sea in Italy, with the intention of practice my English! The language barrier it bothered me so much and I just wanted to be ready to new possibilities, that’s what drives me to move.

I got my degree in design in the Republic of San Marino (design.unirsm.sm) where it gave me the tools to develop a concept, an idea.

Art, design and hospitality are my biggest passion.

I started working at my uncle’s restaurant in the Riviera Romagnola at the age of 14yo, as a waitress and kept working every summer until I left. My friend’s wedding in 2014 was just an excuse to leave Italy. I was having a hard time accepting my hair loss due to Alopecia, and I just needed some new air.

California sounded a good call. Never been before, I signed myself to school and graduated in Business Administration last year.

Foodie as I am, I had the pleasure to meet Gino Angelini and his wife, who gave me the opportunity to work at Angelini and meet amazing people, like the genius behind Mammamia, the first Italian Edible Company, Simone. He was the one who show me the Cannabis market, so new to me.

I like working with startups, they believe in me as much I believe in them.

As a graphic designer, I’m covering a different area of branding that goes from packaging, marketing assets and digital content.

I like what I do now and I can’t wait to do branding for my own personal business (maybe a restaurant?!) 🙂

At the moment, I enjoy organizing food events with my chef friends.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The struggle along the way was the fear of self-confidence. Having Alopecia as a teenager wasn’t easy. California just opened my mind. I knew that creativity and extravaganza was present in me and I start owning my bold head and my skills indeed. Now I’m pursuing what I’m truly passionate about and hairs are coming back 🤷🏻‍♀️

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a creative consultant and graphic designer for brands. The Italian background and culture that I have makes me want to work with a company/startup that have some relationship with food. Food is my passion, I grow up in the hospitality business and it is part of my personality. I’ve done branding for restaurants, food products and now the amazing opportunity to work with the first Italian Edible Company and a plant-based gelato.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I feel extremely grateful and, I believe, that is the reason why I feel lucky in life and business.

I like to keep it very positive.
