Meet Gaia Ferreira

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gaia Ferreira.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. My first love was music. Until the age of 18, most of my time was spent on stage performing. At 18, I left home to backpack across Asia, Australia and New Zealand, working my way around the world.

Returning home for University and driven by a desire to understand why people do what they do and think what they think (and how this changes so much around the world), I majored in Psychology and minored in Languages.

With the IT industry exploding, I shifted my studies towards the field of Applied Information Technology, where my creativity became evident in my programming, design and problem-solving skills. Later, I would apply my ability to make the complex simple by joining the marketing department. By the age of 32 and living in France, I became the Director of EMEA Marketing & Communications for the number one software developer in RFID technology, managing teams around the world, the translations and the effective communication of a complex new technology to the public.

A family move to Madrid, coupled with an overwhelm of external corporate demands created an opportunity to simplify and move into work that created more fulfillment. I took a huge leap of faith in myself and left my profits-based career for one of passion – returning to school to become a Chef and Sommelier. Within a year, three successful businesses ensued  – a Bespoke Dessert Catering and culinary technique school, a Food Branding business representing over 20 American food brands in Spain, and hosting my very own TV show which quickly became the most popular show in the channel’s history.

The sudden death of a friend had me reevaluate my life choices. Fuelled as a mom to 3 beautiful girls, wanting to give them the very best in life, I decided to return back to school once more, to understand how to fuel our bodies, re-design our mind and thoughts, and work with spirit and energy to become deeply fulfilled. This launched a purpose-driven career in Coaching that strengthens the mind-body-heart-gut connection with the behaviour of my clients, allowing them to completely reset their current existence into one of extraordinary fulfillment and joy by understanding the effects of their nutrition, their lifestyle, their thoughts and their beliefs on their success. And implementing the changes to make them Titans of success – to Live, Love and Lead from the Heart.

Currently living in Dublin, Ireland, I have worked with hundreds of visionary executives and entrepreneurs to connect their purpose and vision to the way they work and play every day by tapping into their Total Intelligence (Mind, Body, Heart, Soul, Language and Behaviour). I believe in the importance of living your legacy on purpose so that the world may become a better place that is led from the heart (not from a spreadsheet). Through deep inner work, I address the values and belief systems that create the fear and courage from which they operate so that they may align mind, heart, body and soul to the way they show up to lead themselves and their team to do good things and be great people.

I work in four languages and have over 5000 hours of experience in coaching, training and speaking around the world.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest struggles have been around being an entrepreneur & single-mom of three in a foreign company and all the time-sensitive demands that creates for me. There have been moments when I just wanted to give up. But then I remember that we all get to choose to be a hero or a victim in our own story. Everyone I’ve ever admired worked with their story and situation, not in resistance of it. Acknowledging the struggle with myself and accepting it as it allows me to go easy on myself without guilt and ask for help when I need it without fear.

The truth is that the road is either smooth or evolving. Thankfully, my road has been the latter. The biggest hurdles to overcome have been personal ones under the guise of life’s challenges. I learned a long time ago that there is huge power in learning from our experiences and that by looking at each struggle as an opportunity to expand our curiosity and creativity in resolution, we get to align our intentions with a lot more conviction in ourselves…ultimately, leading ourselves and others from a place of heart and integrity.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I help high-performing but under-fulfilled entrepreneurs re-write and master their unconscious patterns so that they may leverage their personal gifts and purpose-driven mission to create a greater contribution to humanity.

I specialize in the alignment between the inner voice and the outer demands by creating clarity in the unconscious patterns that hold us back and re-writing them to launch our infinite potential. I couple this with personalized nutrigenomic support based on your DNA and epigenetic influence so that my clients always have the energy and clarity to build their vision. 

What I am most proud of is that 95% of my clients are referral-based and that, in the first three years, I have a 100% re-enrolment rate with all of my clients reaching new levels of personal success and fulfillment while increasing their revenue and contribution to humanity. 

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Going to my grandmother’s after school – she’d always greet my sister and I with so much love – she’d put extra love in how she prepared our snacks – like cutting the crust off our sandwiches, cutting them in triangles and serving it with an orange half opened to make it look like a water lily with whipped cream in the middle for dipping. Her home was always warm and was the meeting place for my cousins and aunts and all the women in our community to meet for afternoon tea and cake. Around her kitchen table, I learned about elegance, poise and the strength of the feminine. It also taught me how to nurture from unconditional love, and the importance of realizing acts of service to those we care about from the heart. I honour that learning every day as I support my children, my friends and my clients with the same intention of love and nurtured care.
