Meet Eric Meyer of Georgetown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Meyer.

Hi Eric, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The studio started out as an idea and then we acquired five acres of land in the country and proceeded to build the studio. This was an eight year undertaking and with the help of friends we proceeded to bring the studio to life. Our goal was to make this a destination studio that is off the beaten path where people could work to bring their ideas to life and disconnect when the time calls and just be out in nature. We arrived at where we are by networking with people all over the world and creating opportunities to work together that helped both parties. Over the course of a lot of time and hard work we ventured in to video production and education. We still continue to strive to find new things to achieve and we are always looking for hard working people with a vision that we can help bring to life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not always been a smooth road. Along the way we worried about how we would finance the studio. We also worried that we were creating something that might not succeed. Along the way we learned how to build electronics out of necessity while constantly networking and reaching out to artists and other creatives around the world.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Prior to my current recording studio adventure, I worked in Radiology as a Radiologic Technologist and eventually I ended up working for G.E. as an MRI Applications Specialist. During that time I had been working on the plans for the studio. On the weekends I would work on building the studio when I wasn’t at work and every holiday as well. Following leaving healthcare, I became all in for the studio. Some might call the education that I learned building the studio the equivalent to a high level college education. In short, we see education as investment in one’s self and we always encourage people to constantly learn.

What matters most to you?
The thing that matters most to me is being honest. Although that may fly against the grain in today’s world, the only thing that I really have is my word. If my word loses value then I have nothing and I hope that people know me for simply being honest.
