Meet Comedian Christine Little

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Little.

Christine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got started as most comedians do: weird upbringing + needing attention. From there, I studied psychology in college, took an acting class my senior year, said “yeah, this seems cool”, then moved to Los Angeles and went to The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

After AADA, I did improv and sketch, but found my true passion when I had my first show in the Belly Room of the Comedy Store.

The journey from troubled kid, to psych major, to actress, to stand up comedian has been an exciting one full of ups and downs, but I love what I’ve had the opportunity to do and wouldn’t change it for the world, well maybe for the world… (rubs hands together maniacally)

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I wouldn’t say that things have been “easy” for me, but the best things rarely are. I’ve had challenges like keeping my head in a good place, supporting myself financially, and navigating the comedy scene. However, I genuinely love what I do and I get to be around some of the funniest people in the world, could be worse!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Comedian Christine Little story. Tell us more about your comedy.
I would describe my comedy as easy-going, animated, and authentic. I’m playful with an edge. I’m pretty silly, but can say things that catch you off-guard. I’m not sure how other people would describe it, hopefully as “funny”.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I always feel lucky when I get recommended for projects. There are so many talented people in comedy, so when my name comes up, I’m like, “wow, yay!”
