Meet Cesar Arreola of SoCrisp_

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cesar Arreola.

Cesar, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I pick up my first camera back in 2016! At first, I just wanted quality photos of my car since I was heavily involved in the car scene. From there, I ended up meeting lots of different people and thought to myself, “why not try taking portraits?!” At that moment, my work slowly started to evolve and honestly, my pictures weren’t the best. Over the next two years, I dedicated hours and hours learning the craft that I know now.

Of course, I still have a lot to learn but I feel like I’ve built a solid base. Aside from the whole learning process, I ended up getting more involved with the photography community, attending photomeets, to eventually hosting my very own! This new found passion has been such an amazing journey, I can only imagine where I’ll be in case the next years to come!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel like it has been a smooth road overall. I think the greatest struggle is time. Aside from my photography, I work a full-time job. Which I feel has somewhat limited the time I’m really able to utilize efficiently.

SoCrisp_ – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in portraits! Anything from street/fashion to implied. I love everything about it. I think that’s what really separates me from everyone, is the fact that I do it all.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
2019 has been a huge success for me as a photographer. I’ve been published on magazines quite a few time and also landed my very first cover!

Second greatest accomplish are the photomeets I am able to host every once and a while. The fact that I am able to bring people together to create is a huge accomplishment in itself.
