Meet Becky Kessler-Sykes of Hey Girl Hey Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Becky Kessler-Sykes.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hey Girl Hey Coaching is a story of reinvention. Founder, Becky Kessler-Sykes pivoted from preschool owner to women’s empowerment coach and she’s loving it! After closing Sunny Days Preschool, Becky was determined to find a path where she could continue being of service to others. As a songwriter and artist, she held a tremendous amount of creativity and a strong desire to connect. Those qualities became the impetus for a podcast she started– “Hey Girl Hey”- life through the lens of female friendship. Becky hosted weekly guests for conversations about topics that were not only personal to them, but meaningful for all women. It got her wondering how many women could use this type of supportive, relational infrastructure in their lives?– As it turns out, a lot of them. It inspired Becky to launch her current business venture, Hey Girl Hey Coaching. As a coach, she helps women seeking reinvention find clarity for empowered, aligned change. Whether a career pivot, motherhood-overwhelm, shifting relationships or seasons of feeling disconnected, Becky supports women in times of transition. She is a master at the craft of identifying and executing “next steps”. Her clients gain clarity about what’s beckoning for change inside each of them and hone the creativity and courage needed to make bold moves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business is never smooth, per se. It’s always a learning curve, but a creative one that I find very satisfying. A lot of what I went through is the process I take my clients through. There’s a search and discovery phase that can often be the most uncomfortable as you begin to ask–“what’s not working for me anymore?,” what do i want more of?”, and so on. Then it becomes a question of what you’re willing to do, sacrifice, risk, embody, and create to make it happen. It may sound simple to be the architect of your own life, but it would surprise you to know how many people are just going through the motions without having ever asked themselves some of those questions.

As you know, we’re big fans of Hey Girl Hey Coaching. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
