Meet Annette Garcia-Kerslake of Simply Natural Events in Santa Monica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Annette Garcia-Kerslake.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Annette. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always loved designing parties and large events, and being in the creative field.

Before event planning, I worked in fashion and costume design for film and television. In 2003, I decided to follow my dream of event planning and opened Simply Natural Events.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like with any passion project, there are of course going to be hurdles along the way. As a new business owner, my first obstacle was learning how to build a business – and a successful one at that. It was a good lesson learned that it takes time to build a brand and make a name for yourself in any industry, but hard work and perseverance do pay off. Another bump in the road along the way has been striking the perfect balance between work life and personal life.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Simply Natural Events – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Simply Natural Events creates weddings and events that are noted for their natural elegance and creativity. I am incredibly proud of the originality and flawless production that my team brings to every one of our events, from high-end affairs to intimate engagements. We are advocates for our clients first and foremost – we will do whatever it takes to make our clients’ events seamless and stressless.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are beginning to focus more on destination events. I am also excited to announce that we have expanded our business to include digital marketing for brands, as well as interior design! And of course, I hope to continue to bring beautiful events to our clients, and to continue working with more lovely couples and wonderful brands.
