Meet Andrea Mozelle of Madam Mozelle’s Nurturing Nannies in Mid – City Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Mozelle.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Since starting in 2012, Madam Mozelle’s prides itself in being an agency that puts your family first. In 2012, I knew that there was something missing and I could make that change. Parents were in need of quality care for their children from someone who would understand the complexities of their lives.

So I went to some of the people that I knew would be a good fit for the families in the area and created a dynamic team of nurturing nannies. These women were ready to create a loving and peaceful environment with each family they worked with. Having a diverse team was important to me. When we are in the comfort of our homes we want people that understand us and accept us.

Our nannies are able to share their cultural experiences and it creates a learning and growing environment for all. Starting with three ladies (including me lol) we now have a team of 25 and we are continuing to grow. All of the Nannies that work with Madam Mozelle’s are all CPR & First Aid Certified and have completed a background check. Creating this dynamic resource for family support has been a dream come true.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Providing quality care for a diverse market can be a challenge. I’ve had nannies get into car accidents, not show up for shifts, and dealt with demanding parents. All of these though taught me valuable lessons. Now I make sure insurance is provided for the nannies if they will be driving the families’ car, I have several on call nannies that are available at anytime in case of an emergency, and I do a more thorough search when placing a nanny with a family because both parties need to be pleased. Personalities and expectations are different and when finding the right match those must be explored and discussed.

We are a nanny agency that provides quality service to a diverse family base. What sets us apart from other agencies is the compassion that comes with our placement. I know each of the nannies, their strengths, and long term goals. I want the family to know that we are doing what is best for everyone involved. Having a nanny become a part of your support team is an investment. The rewards are numerous.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing! Each experience that I’ve had has created an opportunity for me to learn and strengthen my business. I would like to create a closer community among the parents that utilize our services. Bringing these families together would create a community of ambitious individuals that can support each other.
