Meet Alyssa Kohn and Amanda Klein of Forage Collection in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Kohn and Amanda Klein.

Alyssa and Amanda, please share your story with us.
Our story began when we were at a coffee shop. We both were going through some life changes and wanted to create a business where we could provide support and inspire others who also needed it. This business in a way brought us comfort and support. We wanted to help others so we decided to create an inspirational clothing line. Each of our pieces tells a story and have a unique inspirational quote in each of them. Our graphics and embroidery are our own designs that we created through being inspired by the people and places we encountered that helped us on our journey. Our clothing line is not only a women’s clothing line but it is also a means to spread hope, joy and inspiration. Our aim to make our customers feel both comforts from wearing our stuff but also through the message behind it. We hope you enjoy our line just as much as we do!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In all honesty, for the most part, it has been a smooth ride but there were naturally some bumps along the way. However, these were necessary bumps that allowed us to grow as a business and as people. It forced us to work on ourselves to be better people and business partners. So, we are grateful for all that comes our way good or bad.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Forage Collection – what should we know?
Our business is a women’s clothing line. We aim to inspire and provide comfort through our handpicked fabrics. Each of our pieces tells a different story. Also, they each have an inspirational quote hidden on the inside for the customer to find and enjoy. We are unique in that we not only strive to provide comfort on the outside but also on the inside.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
A quality most important, we believe for a business to be successful is grit and ambition. Constantly striving to improve our craft and giving it our all.
