Meet Alexandria Rosa and Regan Lowe of Petit Moments in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandria Rosa and Regan Lowe.

Alexandria and Regan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We really wanted affordable, trendy accessories for ourselves. We are always obsessed with what we see on the runway only to be discouraged when we realized those amazing asymmetrical earrings that would totally elevate any look cost almost a month’s rent.

We have been working in the apparel space for longer than we’d like to admit, and have gained an eye for trends and a platform for sales. We started working on a side hustle meant to fill that void we saw in the market, and before long, that side hustle turned into a main hustle and Petit Moments was born.

Has it been a smooth road?
We are approaching our one year anniversary and have DEFINITELY faced some challenges along the way. We have been working in the space for so long that the design, sales, branding, and production management have been super smooth. The launch of our first collection was so well received that we knew we were onto something.

What no one prepared us for (and we had no effing clue about) was what it actually means to start and own a business! The last year has been a crazy crash course in legal, accounting, and financial strategy and that part has been STRESSFUL AF! Tbh we still don’t understand most of it!! Shoutout to our amazing lawyers and accounting team.

Also both of us were working a full-time job when we launched PM and it was not easy. We are lucky that we really believe in the brand so the chaos has been so damn fun! There was a long stretch where we were working every night and weekend and coercing our family and friends into helping us pack orders.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Petit Moments offers the accessory trends of the moment at a price point where our customer doesn’t have to think twice. We are best known for our statement earrings and hair accessories, but we’re obsessed with chunky gold necklaces and bracelets right now and we’re working on new belts for 2020 so expect to see those soon!

We are super proud of how our pieces make people feel. The incredible responses we’ve received from our customers are so gratifying. There is just something about rocking accessories that are the perfect complement to an outfit – it really elevates your mood and look and that is what we’re all about!

We are also incredibly proud of having a platform that allows us to collaborate with other creative people. The collaboration we did with the insanely talented @ScottKingHair was an absolute blast and led to the design of some of our favorite pieces to date.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Los Angeles was the perfect place for us to start Petit Moments. Our offices are in the fashion district which has given us a jump start in reaching our dream retailers. This is also the place to be to have access to artists and designers that create amazing things. If you are looking to get into the apparel/accessory industry, LA is a great place to start!
