Meet Alexander Valentine of Influencer Impact Media in West LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexander Valentine.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Alexander. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m a DJ and an entrepreneur. I was born in Los Angeles and during my childhood, I lived in Greece, USA, Sweden, UK. My father was a DJ as well. They met in Greece where my father was playing records in clubs and my mother lived there abroad for two years. Making music and mixing tracks as a DJ is really therapeutic for me and over the years, I have improved my skills. When it comes to my music, I am not where I want to be just yet I still have some things to learn and I’m still evolving. When it comes to my entrepreneurship, I am the owner of a small online advertising agency. It’s me, one account manager, one assistant, two online advertisers and I’ve outsourced my advertising tasks to them and each one of them live in a different country. I used to do all the online advertising myself in the beginning but now I focus on my brand and my music.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Well taking a leap of faith and throwing myself into the unknown was difficult in the beginning. I was not sure how my music would be received and I did not know how other business owners and CEO’s would react to me being a young entrepreneur and contacting them and telling them I could help them with online advertising. But once I took that first step I’ve not had too many challenges. I believe in myself and if I have a problem I try to come up with different strategies to solve it. I guess one challenge has been having friends and some people in your family that don’t always understand what running a business is like. You don’t always have time to hang out and things like that.

Please tell us about your agency.
Having an Online Advertising agency is a dream come true, So my online advertising agency offers online advertising services. What I do is I do the outreach and build relationships with businesses and if we feel we are a great fit we start working together. We place these ads that you probably have seen on Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, to name a few. I have worked with Musicians, Financial advisers, chiropractors, doctors to name a few of my clients and I help them generate more leads to their business. I am most proud of that I am able to earn a living from my business and also that with my agency I am able to help my clients to generate more leads and that is really satisfying.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I probably would not have done anything differently. I would say before I started my company I had a lot of obstacles and challenges to take on but once I decided to change my mindset and have a positive mindset everything has been running smooth when it comes to my business. If you start a business make sure to have a business plan, a budget of how much money you can spend each month, do a market research, also do not quit your day job until your business start generating money, if you follow these easy steps I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to run a successful business!
