Meet Alan Jaeger of Jaeger Sports

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alan Jaeger.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley. I went to Granada Hills HS, Pierce JC, SDSU and graduated from CSUN. I played baseball through my Jr year of College, and got very interested in the Far East, specifically, Zen, Taoism and Yoga.

I began teaching Meditation and Mental Strategies for Performance, along with physical training (Pitching Coach). I started Jaeger Sports in 1990. We’ve been around for 27 years now, specializing in Mental Game, Arm Development, Arm Care. Most proud of helping to make a difference in people’s lives.

I think our company is unique, in that we (the 3 of us) all have baseball backgrounds, and we are teaching very unique parts of the game.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The struggles were at the beginning, getting the word out, and growing your training program and students. But that is part of the beauty of any endeavor.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Too many to name….my parents and family…my current business partner Jim Vatcher and VP China McCarney. Many friends and coaches along the way.
