Life & Work with Victoria Acevedo Saitz of El Sereno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Acevedo Saitz.

Hi Victoria, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

Hi! I’m Victoria, an actor and film maker living in Los Angeles.
As a kid, I remember watching shows (specifically iCarly) and thinking: “Wow, that looks like so much fun, I’d love to do something like that!”
I then went on to do theater all through high school and got a BA in Theater from Sonoma State University before moving to LA.
I’ve done everything from theater to audience work to background acting to Halloween Horror Nights to verticals to short and feature films.
I am currently working on making short films with my husband, Christian Acevedo Saitz. We are in post-production for one peice I am very excited about and pre-production for our next!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been as smooth a ride as you can expect, given I moved here mid 2019. The pandemic and the strikes really derailed a lot and it’s been a journey trying to get anywhere, but (thankfully) I’ve landed on my feet. Having friends who work together on projects and support each other has been the best!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
All my life I’ve loved to write and tell stories, aside from acting. I used to write so much in high school and college, but then was hit with brain fog for a while and couldn’t seem to get my thoughts and ideas out.
Thankfully that has since lifted and I’ve been able to finish writing multiple scripts that I’m very proud of.

What are your plans for the future?
My husband and I are working on bringing my scripts to life under our name “Hollywood Rabbit Productions.”
I am very excited for the stories we have lined up.
