Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Boronski
Hi Tyler, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My career journey began as a high school freshman in 2014, working behind the scenes with the Bridgeport Bluefish’s media department, but I quickly found my passion for on-camera reporting by interviewing professional athletes and creating content for my YouTube channel. This early work opened doors to incredible opportunities, from covering Atlantic League All-Star games to conducting interviews with MLB legends. I graduated as part of the inaugural class for the Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting in October, 2019, During my college tenure, I gained experience as a play-by-play announcer and sideline reporter for Rollins College and worked with the Olympic Channel ahead of the 2020 Summer Olympics. My professional path took me to New England Sports Network (NESN), where I interviewed Boston sports icons like Chris Sale and Jayson Tatum and co-hosted a podcast with NESN anchor Tom Caron. Later, as a multimedia news journalist with NBC5, I reported on major stories such as Vermont’s catastrophic flooding and covered political events featuring national figures like President Donald Trump. Today, I’m living in West Palm Beach, freelancing as a sports and entertainment reporter while continuing to grow my personal social media accounts and explore new opportunities in media.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey has been far from a smooth road. In this industry, you face a constant barrage of rejection. I’ve also sacrificed a ton of time away from my family to pursue this career path. Frankly at times you compromise your own physical and mental health. However despite the difficulties, I remain very passionate about what I do, but it definitely hasn’t come without it’s struggles.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a multifaceted reporter with a diverse background in news media, entertainment, and sports. My career has bridged both traditional TV and the digital landscape, allowing me to cover a wide range of topics. What I enjoy most about my work is conducting interviews. I’ve had the privilege of speaking with individuals from all walks of life, from those experiencing homelessness to superstars like Tiger Woods, Bill Belichick, and Kevin Durant. Regardless of who I’m interviewing, I find joy in uncovering people’s stories and creating an environment where they feel comfortable sharing their experiences.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Treat others as you wish to be treated. Show respect and kindness to everyone, from the sports superstar down to the seat usher. It’s a simple yet important message: being a good person makes a lasting impression and that’s how you want to be remembered.
