Life & Work with Sierra Parker and Rachelle Smith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Parker and Rachelle Smith. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Sierra Parker Rachelle Smith

Queening in My Purpose (Q.i.M.P.) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2018 in San Antonio, TX by Sierra Parker and Rachelle Smith. The organization was established to provide support and mentorship to women, girls, and the community. Since its inception, Q.i.M.P. has become a trailblazer in the community, offering a safe place for women and girls to receive support, development, and mentorship. Over the years, the organization has evolved to become a significant player in community outreach, fostering programs like “Adopt a Senior-San Antonio”, Adopt a Family for Thanksgiving, and Adopt a Student for Christmas annually. Additionally, Q.i.M.P. has been awarding the Q.i.M.P. Community Scholarship to High School Seniors for consecutive years since 2020, helping them pursue their college education.

Q.i.M.P. provides a conducive atmosphere where women can bring their gifts to the team, develop them, and excel. Sierra and Rachelle have been the foundation of this organization since Day 1, and its mission is to help every woman and girl achieve an extraordinary existence. The organization aims to enhance the dignity and quality of life by providing a repository of resources for the advancement of women and girls personally, professionally, financially, spiritually, and physically. Q.i.M.P. works tirelessly to strengthen communities, eliminate barriers to opportunities, and help women and girls realize their full potential.

The Vision: Our vision is to empower women by enhancing their self-esteem, self-image, and self-confidence, helping them discover their purpose, and unleashing their various gifts, talents, and abilities. We believe that every woman and girl should have the opportunity to achieve her full potential, operate in her purpose, and enhance all aspects of her existence.

The Purpose: As a group of professional women, we use our diverse backgrounds to create a support network for women and girls, guiding them toward their dreams with confidence and boldness. We provide coaching, leadership exercises, workshops, and youth programs that help build self-esteem and develop essential skills. Since 2020, Q.i.M.P. has awarded over $2000 in scholarships and aided over 2,350 students in the Adopt a Senior Program. We are a nonprofit that is dedicated to making a positive impact in the San Antonio community. We believe that together, we can achieve so much more!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
“It has been a relatively smooth journey so far, but the main challenge we have faced is figuring out how to narrow our focus due to the multitude of things we would like to accomplish. Our goal is to make the most impact with the limited resources we have. However, we have realized that a significant portion of our support is towards community, children, and families. Therefore, we are currently facing the challenge of revising our purpose for the upcoming year.”

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
When Rachelle is not working for Q.i.M.P., she works as a professional in Sales and Marketing in the health and wellness industry. She is also a licensed Real Estate agent. Her main focus is to educate her clients and provide them with a level of support that feels like a family. She delivers an experience based on complete trust, transparency, and focus. Additionally, Rachelle is the CFO and COO of ConcreteRose Talent Management LLC. Her role includes ensuring the organization meets its fiduciary responsibilities, talent development, and operational logistics. She is also a partner at ConcreteRose Consulting Firm.

Sierra Parker is an HR Executive and Development Consultant who worked in banking for 13 years before transitioning to HR/Learning and Development. She has made a significant impact in corporate America by bridging the gap between employees and organizations. Sierra’s goal is to change the “status quo” of traditional HR. She also creates and facilitates Leadership Development programs. Sierra believes that people leadership is one of the most underserved areas of management. She thinks that most leaders are great at managing processes and phenomenal individual contributors but have never been taught how to lead people.

In addition to being a trailblazer in the HR industry, Sierra is also an entrepreneur. She owns and buys fashion for K.Simone’s Boutique, serves as CEO and Talent Manager of ConcreteRose Talent Management, and is a partner at ConcreteRose Consulting Firm.
