Today we’d like to introduce you to Lakithia Nicole

Hi Lakithia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up singing in Church as a child. Which prepared me as a performer. I traveled a lot with my parents doing solos in church. I was also a child model. I went to modeling school and did local pageants. I had a love/passion for the arts as a kid. I started writing music as a teenager and got in the studio as a teen. Met a local producer and we released 3 albums. My music sold out in stores, online , independently and I was doing shows all over. I traveled often and was on the road performing my own music. I loved acting as well. Like many I started as an extra. The first project I was an extra in was. Princess Diaries. I was blown away. And wanted more. I worked on more shows. Then got a big break on the hit tv show girlfriends . I became a body double and stand in. I did a lot of behind the scene work and studied the craft of acting. Getting small opportunities here and there. It all prepared me for the things I’’m currently doing. The key for me was never giving up on my dreams. Always believing in myself through it all.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not necessarily smooth a lot of ups and downs. The entertainment industry is full of rejection. Hollywood can be brutal. So you have to have thick skin and be grounded. You have to be relentless especially if you really want it. I’ve been pursuing my dreams since I was a child and I’m still not exactly where I want to be. However I’m starting to progress forwardly and I’m happy where things are moving. It’s been a journey. There was a time as a recording artist , I lost passion for music. It lasted a few years. I didn’t feel it anymore. That passion has returned and I’m more creative like when I was a child. I took time from pursuing acting as well. Because working behind the scenes, I couldn’t audition. I wasn’t able to focus on my own acting career. After a few years of being in that space I refocused. And focused on myself and got an agent. And focus only on me as an actor and now landing lead roles on tv/film. But this took years. I just never quit. My dreams are beginning to come into fruition.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a recording artist/actress/radio/talk show host and entrepreneur. I specialize in it all. All things entertainment. And I’ve been doing it more than 15 + years. I believe I’m an individual and I’m very authentic. I’m true to myself and my vision. I never changed. Everything I’m doing I desired to do since my childhood years. My dreams never changed. I’m proud of myself for not quitting. I believe with faith it’s the reason I’m walking through amazing doors In the entertainment industry . The music industry as well as in the acting industry. It’s a great time. I have new movies releasing, a new ep and album dropping in 2025. A lot is on the way. I’m excited to be a series regular on the new tv series Love and Larceny. I’m filming the show now in Atlanta. It should air top of 2025. It stars a great cast.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Authenticity, integrity and morality. It’s important for me to remain true to myself. Yet maintain my integrity & morality on the pursuit of my dreams. Every project isn’t for me. If it lacks integrity and morality. Story telling has to have purpose for me.
