Today we’d like to introduce you to Juliet Parker. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Juliet’s photography journey began at the tender age of 10, when she first grasped a camera, following in the footsteps of her father. What started as a playful exploration soon blossomed into a profound passion as she honed her artistic vision.
By the age of 14, Juliet was already capturing moments and events with her lens, but it was the discovery of her unique style that ignited her commitment to the craft. With a discerning eye for composition and a flair for storytelling, her love for photography grew and grew each day.
Juliet’s talent and dedication quickly garnered attention, leading her to work with some big artists. From shooting iconic artists like Kanye West, Xavier Omar, Foggie Raw, No Big Dyl, and Montell Fish to collaborating with rising stars such as Chavyn Jaice, Jaae Kash, and Jillian Batt. She is grateful for all the opportunities God has opened for her and looks forward to what’s in store.
Juliet seized every opportunity to push her boundaries and expand her horizons. Her work has graced the covers of esteemed publications, including two album cover arts for Zauntee, as well as working with brands such as Selah Clothing and Maverick City Music.
She Enjoys exploring other forms of art, such as content creation for her YouTube channel/Instagram, as well as acting and singing. She’s been seen on television and stages across the states in many projects, but most recently in the National Tour of North the Musical. She loves to find avenues of art as mediums for storytelling that transcend boundaries and foster connections. She thrives on the ability of her art to evoke emotions and forge meaningful relationships, believing wholeheartedly in its capacity to bring people together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have always been difficulties being a woman working in a male-dominated industry. There have been moments of unfairness or where I have been belittled and underestimated, but I just let my work speak for itself and stay true to myself. I truly believe all my gifts are from God, so I create to please God. I take joy in my craft and don’t let people rob me of my joy because of their bitterness. And God continues to bless me and open doors.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I look forward to more women joining this industry! I think it’s beautiful how people can have the same equipment but have different visions, styles, and perspectives that create a variety of images. The world of photography or art in general will continue to grow and evolve, and I’m here for it!
