Life & Work with Inbar Katz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Inbar Katz.

Inbar Katz

Hi Inbar, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in a family where my grandfather was a diamond dealer, and my father was a jewelry manufacturer. I always said I was born with a love for diamonds and jewelry engrained in my veins. I finally joined the business in 2019, learning all you need to know about running a jewelry company, From packing and shipping to working directly with the jewelers. Our family-owned jewelry shop has been around for over three decades, and I am beyond honored to be able to continue on the family tradition every day.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say in whatever initiative you take, there will always be bumps in the road! My father always taught me that nothing comes easy in life, each obstacle you face is just strengthening your ability to get through anything that comes your way.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Established in 1979, Kobelli is a family-owned business that has been importing diamonds and manufacturing fine jewelry for four decades in the heart of downtown Los Angeles! Today, as a manufacturer with a direct-to-consumer business model, we are able to provide the customer experience and fine jewelry excellence you deserve at the best possible prices!

We pride ourselves on quality and consistency, and we only purchase and sell ethically sourced diamonds that have been stamped and sealed with a Kimberely certification. Every item of jewelry we make is in-house – from sketch to final polish. We like to say we are your one stop shop for everything Jewelry, whether it’s something you find on the website or an item you want to design yourself we can make it happen!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Our shop is home to some artisans who have been with us for over 25 years. My personal mentors have been every single person that has been here with us since the beginning, let alone since I started here in 2019! The biggest person to receive credit is our Founder, Kobi Katz. He is the brains and heart of this company!
