Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Liga
Hi Daniel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
This is the bio I’ll be including in my upcoming website to get an idea:
With 12 years of diverse nursing experience, Daniel Liga exemplifies the best qualities of that nursing has to offer. His experience includes (starting from recent): Intensive Care Unit, Intermediate ICU, Med/Surg-Tele and Long-term care/Sub Acute rehab. Believing that every patient deserves a personal approach, treating everyone as if they were family. He has brought compassion and care to every case he has been a part of. He earned his nursing degree from Helene Fuld School of Nursing, obtained his bachelor’s degree at Grand Canyon University and subsequently earned his Master’s degree specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner at Rowan University. Currently he is working two part time jobs which includes: Advaned Kidney Care & Hypertension of South Jersey as a Nephrology NP and Virtua Voorhees CDU as a Observation Unit NP.
As an individual who’ve dealt with being overweight and combating with weight loss growing up, Daniel understands how it feels to deal with the struggles. As a matter of fact, he was diagnosed with hypogonadism (low testosterone) and being overweight which led to being prescribed Testosterone Replacement Therapy and compounded Tirzepitide (weight loss medication). Seeing how these medications and lifestyle changed his life, Daniel wanted to share his success back to the community. Now a Nurse Practitioner, he decided to open up RenūU Health to help provide care and products that led to his successful journey to the patients he will be in care of. Being a product of his product that he will be providing, Daniel will lead and guide you to your success story!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a bumpy road throughout this journey but those struggles helped shape me to be who I am. Before having my first child, I only obtained my associates in nursing that got my RN. My wife and I knew we needed to improve ourselves so we both went back to school when she was 1 years old. During that time of schooling, working full time and juggling schedules with my wife to complete it was tough but we made it work during that year and a half. Before finishing my Master’s career, it was during covid times and I was the only bread winner during that time. My wife was pregnant with our 3rd child and I was travel nursing to provide for my family as she was going through her pregnancy as it was much more difficult compared to our first three. Working full time while travel nursing, full time school with doing clinicals that felt like a 2nd job and maintaining the family was not an easy task. Thankfully we got through it and we are here, where we are! I’m looking to keep growing as time keeps going on!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m happy to put in the Other category because I’ll doing both Employee/Professional and starting my business soon!
In social media, my account: @Murse_Liga.D has been around since 2018 providing nurse motivation, humor and influence. It has been a fun ride interacting with my followers and plan to continue doing so as I keep moving on with my career. Of course it slowed down once I was back in school and with home-life but I look forward to continue making content!
Currently I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner . I’m working 2 part time jobs: 1st is a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner at Advanced Kidney Care & Hypertension of South Jersey thats a private practiced owned by Dr. Arun Chawla. We make rounds at hospitals, dialysis centers and nursing homes in regards to Kidney Care and Hypertension management. My other job is a hospitalist/Observation Nurse Practitioner at Virtua Voorhees within their Observation unit. We manage patients in this short-term unit intead of admitting patients into the hospital or stay in the Emergency room, complete all test/medications as soon as possible and disposition if they truely need to stay in hospital or can be sent home. This unit was just opened this past year and already saved the hospital close to million dollars already for preventing unneccesary costs.
In addition, I’m proud to state that I will be opening up my own business soon as an entrepreneur! It will be a Testosterone Replacement Therapy, Medical weight less and health wellness Clinic that is hope to start this upcoming January, This was one of my goals as I went back for my masters to do this and I’m excited about it. I’m very passionate about this niche due to dealing with weight loss all my life and now that I was given the tools, I’ve become successful with my weight loss journey (and still on-going). I will be a product of my own product that I’m providing as I trialed through everything myself that I will be prescribing to the patient’s that will be under my care.
How do you think about happiness?
It is simple as family and good vibes to make me happy. My family is the motivation and center of my life to keep doing what I’m doing. Doing the best from negativity and staying with good vibes is really helpful for my mental health. Unfortunately you got to sacrifice making decisions from staying away from certain people and things to make that goal but in the end, happiness is more important for your mental health.
