Today we’re excited to be connecting with Brittany Denise Evans again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Brittany Denise, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Thank you for having me again! I’m Brittany Denise, the creator of Sassy Mouth Straws, a fun and eco-friendly line of reusable, customizable boba straws. My goal is to elevate the boba experience while reducing single-use plastic waste. What sets Sassy Mouth Straws apart is our focus on personalization and sustainability—customers can choose vibrant designs and engravings that reflect their style, all while supporting an environmentally conscious product.
The journey to Sassy Mouth Straws began with my passion for boba. I quickly noticed that boba is a growing trend among Gen Z and Millennials, and I realized that with each exciting new flavor came the same plain, unappealing plastic straw. That’s when I thought—why not create a customizable boba straw that’s perfect for small businesses, weddings, events, or even just for yourself?
This journey also ties back to my passion for innovation and entrepreneurship. I’ve always been driven to create solutions that combine practicality with personality. After founding a patented product in high school, I realized the power of blending creativity with function, which inspired me to design Sassy Mouth Straws.
Highlights of my journey include developing this product from concept to patent-pending, testing it with boba lovers, and receiving incredible feedback on its unique appeal. I’m excited to continue growing this brand and helping people sip sustainably with a little sass!
Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my journey again! Since our last conversation, things have been moving full speed ahead with Sassy Mouth Straws, and it’s been an exciting and rewarding experience.
I’ve been focused on perfecting the product design and testing it in the market. I’ve received fantastic feedback from boba lovers and event planners who appreciate the customizable and eco-friendly features. One of the highlights has been partnering with local boba shops to test the straws, where customers loved the vibrant designs and functionality.
On the flip side, like any entrepreneur, I’ve faced challenges—primarily navigating the manufacturing process and scaling production while ensuring the quality and sustainability of the straws. It’s been a learning curve, but every hurdle has taught me more about resilience and problem-solving.
I’m most excited about expanding our reach and launching officially. I’ve been exploring collaborations with event planners, boba cafes, and wedding vendors who see the value in our unique product. I’m also looking forward to attending trade shows and bridal expos next year to showcase Sassy Mouth Straws to a larger audience.
This journey has been a mix of hard work, creativity, and much trial and error, but seeing the vision come to life has made it all worthwhile. I’m thrilled about the next steps and can’t wait to share more updates as Sassy Mouth Straws grows!
