Today we’d like to introduce you to Amillion Mayfield. 

Amillion, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is AMILLION an International Poet, Hip Hop Artist, iHeart Radio Personality, and CEO. My Story began when my Overseas basketball career ended once I found out my daughter Aaliyah Adams-Mayfield was born. I wanted to be a hands of Father because I didn’t have that growing up. I didn’t have a dollar just a daughter and a dream. They both grew simultaneously as I walked out on my 9-5 as a social worker and birthed my 1NA Movement 24/7. I began as a Spoken Word Artist performing at open mics and then contracted my own poetry in motion workshops in schools, prisons, and libraries. I then put out a poetry book that went on to become a Delaware Best Seller for 4 years. My gift of word evolved after I met my late great friend and producer Tyorzel Gaston, aka Victory the Producer. He told me my flow was undeniable, and I could be the one to make it outside Delaware if we put out a music project. He convinced me and was right. Our first project was featured on BET, MTV, and VH1. As I got the news that I would be going on my first U.S. and overseas your I then got the news he had passed away. Needless to say, his lost amongst many other family and friends has continued to inspire me to this day. The past 5 years, I’ve been an International Hip-Hop Artist who has performed in over 25 countries. I’m the CEO of 1NA Records featuring newly signed R&B sensation Kason Miller. I also signed a Partnership Deal with iHeart Radio to have 1NA Radio Show every Sunday at 10 am. Recently I just began my 1NA Alkaline Water Company with a Water Bar in Florida, Miami Alkaline Water. This has brought my career full circle now inspiring mental health and motivating physical wellness. As an International Artist, I believe in giving back to the community. Awarded the Key to the City and look forward to open more doors for others. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I say on the road to riches, you have to pay the toll. I paid many dues before ownership avenue. I still remember my first MTV video on tv, and I couldn’t afford my cable bill to watch it. I lost my first home in the beginning of my career before my 3rd Home. I lost so many friends, family, and money during my victories, but I never lost my faith and belief in God. I never lost my vision to make my dreams come to fruition. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Poet, Artist, Author, and Radio Personality, but I just think I have a gift of Word. A Hope Dealer, so to speak. I package my words and distribute them via music, books, workshops, radio, and now products like 1NA Alkaline. I’m proud that my lyrics are all honest and pure energy from the soul. I spell energy InnerG, meaning inner God and inner Glow. 

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I like best the rich culture and vibe. I really enjoy performing in LA and look forward to my upcoming shows and your.
