Today we’d like to introduce you to Circle Marsh.
Circle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Well, I been trying to get to this point my whole life. I started off in high school cyphers with friends from grade school to opening up for Jay Electronica and Freddie Gibbs. Music is my love language and soon, it will be known globally.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never a smooth road because you always have to start from the bottom to get to the top. It can also be very expensive becoming an upcoming artist due to the fact that I have to pay for all my studio time, engineer, beats and so much more. I love the challenge though only because I’m strong and determined to be the artist I want to be so with that being said, I’m not going to stop.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an upcoming rapper from Compton, CA. I’ve been rapping since 2012, and I’ve been going so hard ever since. My specialty is being a lyricist but, I also create beats, I write for myself and other artists, videographer, photographer. I know for being an artist but, most importantly being a chef. Before I started rapping, I was in culinary school and making food for my community at the Compton Woodley Airport. I’m most proud of myself because I didn’t let the streets get to me. I’m different from others because I have my own style and I take risks at everything I do. Regardless of what it is, I’m always going to Stand out because of my style, sound, performance, energy, vibe and I have the support from a lot of people that others do not have.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The person that helped me become the person that I am today is my sister in law Tanya Posey and Jimmie Posey. They took me in, in high school and I couldn’t thank them enough. I was blessed to live the life I never thought I was going to have due to Them. As I got older, I took more risks for myself to become a better person. I never really had a mentor in my life I just always did everything on my own once I got out of my brother and sister in laws home. My manager that I know now has helped a lot with my career and he’s definitely helping me out on taking it to the next level.
