Life & Work with Andrew Gatto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Gatto.

Hi Andrew, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
So I’m originally from Boston, I grew up there and my family still all lives out there. After I graduated high school though I moved out to Arizona in order to attend Arizona State. While I was in college, there was when I first started making music. I had always loved music but once I started playing around on my laptop making beats, I kind of realized that was really what I wanted to do in life. So any free time I had, I was just working on early songs and trying to get better and better. I moved out to LA about six months ago after graduating from ASU and I’ve just been working on music everyday. It isn’t the most ideal time to move to a new city either with covid going on but it is what it is. I’m just excited to be out here and for what the future holds.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I feel like everyone who strives for success goes through some sort of obstacle or struggle at some point, it’s just part of the game. And more so in some professions than others. So I just try to focus on my goals and what I want to accomplish day by day.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
To me music is one of the necessities of life, so I just try to make the best possible sounds I can. A lot of the best stuff I have been working on is unreleased right now, so I’m really excited to let people hear everything I’ve been crafting. My debut single and music video “At the Gates” just dropped, and I am currently working on finishing my upcoming debut album as well, titled “Welcome To Hell”.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’m also a huge fan of movies. I grew up watching all the old Clint Eastwood westerns and even had to sneak around and steal a VHS of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. I’m hoping to get into working on film scores at some point down the road too so hopefully Christopher Nolan sees this.
