Lilian Allahverdian shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Lilian, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, the thing bringing me the most joy outside of work has been slowing down and enjoying the little rituals that make my days feel grounded—like morning cafecito, evening walks, and spending quality time with my family. These moments refill my cup and inspire so much of the love and intention we pour into our candles @planyouwithlove.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m one of the sisters behind Plan You With Love, a small business rooted in self-care, intention, and the joy of creating. What started as a passion for planners and meaningful daily rituals has grown into something even more special: hand-poured candles crafted to bring comfort, calm, and a little magic into your space.
Our brand is all about slowing down, celebrating small moments, and surrounding yourself with things that feel good for the soul. Every product we create is inspired by our own lives, routines, and the love we share as sisters. Right now, we’re especially excited about our candle line — from cozy, café-inspired scents to seasonal favorites that make any moment feel intentional.
We’re grateful to share our journey with you and hope our creations bring as much joy to your everyday life as they bring to ours.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed being shy meant I couldn’t make an impact. Now I know my quiet nature can be just as powerful, and it allows me to create with thoughtfulness and care.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Honestly, the fear of failing. It’s something that has followed me through different stages of my life—wondering if I’ll make the right choices or if things will turn out the way I imagine. But the more I grow, the more I realize that failure is part of learning, and it’s often where the best transformations begin.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is creating moments of comfort and connection—showing love through the little things, being present for the people I care about, and pouring my heart into anything that brings warmth into someone’s day.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m pouring candles. There’s something so calming about the slow, intentional process—the warm wax, the quiet focus, and knowing that each pour carries a little bit of love and care. It’s one of the rare moments where everything else fades and I’m fully present.
