Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Dominic Cerino IV of West Hollywood

Dominic, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I always try and dedicated some time in the morning to mediate with my crystals. They assist me in raising and charging my crystalline vibrational energy. If I have time I also try to take a walk in nature to experience some forest bathing and grounding. After these mindful exercises I am charged and grounded to experience a positive day. A fresh, pressed high vibrational juice is always my go to as well to start the day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m grateful to be featured in Voyage LA Hidden Gems Series. As I was young, I was always fascinated by nature and design, how both coincide, yet can still be individually unique and special. This fascination about nature lead me to collecting crystals at a very young age. I did not know at this time, but later in life, I would have discovered my spiritual connection with them. I continued throughout my life to focus on my art and design which brought me to the field of architecture and design. I have lived in Los Angeles for almost two decades and during this time, I experienced a rich, diverse and tasteful culture that the city can offer a creative individual. I finished my university studies and gained valuable experience in the field of architecture and interior design. Throughout a lot of my projects, I always incorporated natural elements into the space and of course, the crystals came back into my life. The more I incorporated nature and crystals in the design environment, the more spiritually evolved I became which has led me to my crystal collection, high vibrational crystalline energy sessions and teaching and exploring the world of crystals.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I would say when I was always exploring the forest, sitting still with nature and observing nature’s natural, divine design. Sacred geometry is repeated throughout nature as along within our own bodies and this really showed me how we are all interconnected, living conscious beings.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
There will always be times in life that are chaotic and will bring suffering, however one cannot experience true enlightenment without some sort of suffering. It is the balance of these energies that one can learn from. I believe success can be observed in many different ways by people. It is the small accomplishments throughout my life that brought me to experience a spiritual growth in my mindset that doesn’t involve the ego, yet these experiences were crucial to bring me to where I am now in my life. The growth and development in success can come from experiences of suffering, it is just the way one approaches his or her mindset after these experiences.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
CRYSTALS! When you walk into my home, there are always crystals displayed, however they are displayed tastefully with a design aesthetic in mind. My friends and family always comment on the energy they feel as they tour my crystal gallery, calm, loving and healing. The high vibrational crystalline energy helped me through eras of suffering and showed me the divine light. I also want to have everyone experience the high vibrational crystalline energy with the crystals. They always comment that there is a new crystal they haven’t seen!

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
How nature, Mother Gaia and crystals can enrich one’s life force energy through grounding practices, forest bathing and meditation for higher states of consciousness and healing. The internal atomic level of quartz crystal is based on sacred geometry, hexagons. Sacred geometry is all around us, ancient architecture and nature exhibits the natural sacred geometry that surrounds us. Once you understand and are aligned with this mindset and knowledge, you can raise your crystalline vibration.
