Alessandra, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I am most proud of the personal development work I’ve done over the years. I truly believe that our external success and sense of fulfillment begins internally. Over the last 10 years I’ve been on a journey of inner growth, working on my mindset and getting to know myself. I’ve always had big dreams and I believe especially as an entrepreneur, our ability to achieve things we desire is highly correlated with developing an abundance mindset, working through sub-conscious blocks and learning to trust your intuition.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Alessandra Lauren Salituri, a creative director, interior stylist, art consultant and coach working in the worlds of design and personal transformation.

I began my career in PR and brand strategy, leading my own agency for ten years and working with leading lifestyle, hospitality, and corporate brands across North America. In 2014, I founded Citizen Atelier, an e-commerce art gallery that has since been recognized by Elle Decor, MyDomaine, and The Zoe Report as one of the best online galleries in the world. Through Citizen Atelier, I’ve spent more than a decade curating art and decorating spaces for private clients and hospitality projects across the U.S. and Canada.

All of my life, I’ve always had a deep passion for personal development and have been interested in discovering how to unlock our best lives. Alongside my work in art and design, I now work as a coach and speaker, guiding women through the process of overcoming internal blocks to achieve their dreams. My approach blends nervous system and attachment style healing, subconscious reprogramming, manifestation, and feminine energetics to help women bring their goals into being and achieve a life of fulfillment and authenticity.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My mom has been a powerful force in how I see myself and my potential. She is an artist, very spiritual and has always been a free spirit, unconventional and lived a life that was authentically hers. She taught me that the world is a magical place and that anything I desired was possible. She always encouraged me to make my own decisions, to follow my own north star and not worry about what others think. Her belief in me has helped me become more comfortable trusting my inner guidance and intuition.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
I often miss how simple life was growing up. I’m someone who loves nature, genuine connection and the slow life. Although I’ve always been ambitious and had big dreams, it’s very important for me to live a life where I prioritize relationships and enjoying life’s little moments. The pace of the modern world with social media has its advantages and is a huge support when you work as an entrepreneur but I often miss those simpler times where we had more time to be in the moment with others without the distractions of technology.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I truly believe in the power of manifestation and our ability to live the life we desire. Due to our past experiences and limiting beliefs I know sometimes it can feel like certain things are not possible for us. But I’ve seen with myself and clients the power we have to make massive shifts in our lives no matter what we’ve been through.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace in nature and by the ocean. Although I love the city, I feel most relaxed in nature – listening to the sound of the birds and just being in the present moment.
