My journey as an entrepreneur and professional in the entertainment industry has been a thrilling adventure that’s brought me to where I am today.
It all began with a dream and a passion for Cinema and Television. I studied the arts and have a bachelor’s degree in Cinema and Television Arts, but also minored in Business Management for my second passion, entrepreneurship.
I took the leap in 2016 and founded a luxury men’s salon in Woodland Hills, pouring my heart into creating an experience that was not just about grooming but about luxury and excellence. For five years, I immersed myself in the world of business, learning to understand customer needs, deliver exceptional service, and manage every aspect of the salon. My establishment became synonymous with quality and sophistication, earning a reputation beyond just a grooming destination.
After my successful run in that industry, I decided to embrace the digital age and launched my Custom Print Etsy shop, “The Custom Print Party.”. It was a bold move, but my creativity and understanding of market trends paid off. I designed and offered custom print products that resonated with a customer base looking for personalized items. Watching my Etsy shop gain traction is incredibly rewarding, and the dedication I put into maintaining high-quality standards and innovation truly set me apart. It was my goal to think outside the box by customizing ping pong balls, crocs, post-it notes, and other non-traditional items which really helped my growth!
Amidst my entrepreneurial endeavors, I also felt a strong pull to preserve and share my heritage. This led me to become an author and illustrator of Armenian Children’s Books. Drawing from my Armenian roots, I crafted engaging stories that celebrated my culture and enriched the literary landscape for young readers. This project wasn’t just about writing stories; it was about connecting with my roots and contributing to a diverse literary world.
While pursuing my passions, I’ve also excelled in my career in the entertainment industry. For over 12 years, I’ve been a Director of Post Production and the biggest entertainment companies, playing a pivotal role in bringing creative visions to life. My experience and expertise have been instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of post-production processes, contributing to the success of various projects.
Balancing my entrepreneurial spirit, literary aspirations, and a thriving entertainment career has been a journey of growth and determination. The story I’ve woven is a testament to the power of pursuing passions, embracing new challenges, and embracing continuous learning. As I stand here today, I see a future filled with possibilities and accomplishments, driven by the same passion that has fueled my journey so far.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While my journey has been incredibly rewarding, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like any path of growth and achievement, I encountered my fair share of challenges and hurdles that tested my resolve.
Transitioning to the world of e-commerce with my Custom Print Etsy shop presented its own set of obstacles. The online marketplace is competitive, and standing out among numerous sellers demanded innovative marketing strategies and a continuous effort to adapt to changing customer preferences.
Balancing my entrepreneurial ventures with a demanding career in the entertainment industry also posed challenges. Time management and finding the right work-life-business balance were ongoing considerations. Meeting the demands of my post-production role while nurturing my entrepreneurial aspirations required meticulous planning and sometimes long hours.
Overall, the challenges I faced have been invaluable learning experiences. Each obstacle taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of seeking solutions with creativity and determination. While there were moments of frustration, I can confidently say that every setback ultimately contributed to my growth and success.
