Hi Shaina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been working in public relations for natural food and healthy lifestyle brands for over 20 years. I worked my way up to VP at a boutique agency in Beverly Hills and then almost 12 years ago branched out on my own to start Reach Public Relations. The experience was very intuitive and natural, and I’m so glad to have taken the leap.
The specialty and the niche I fell into has been a wonderful fit for me, as it’s attracted companies and people who I have nothing but the utmost respect for. It also feeds into my strengths of writing and communication, while providing an outlet to be creative and thoughtful.
I have taken great pride in supporting the unwavering commitment of our clients to their brands. I listen to the passion they feel for their business, and it becomes my passion – and their success my success. This mindset feeds into everything we do at Reach Public Relations. We care about and take ownership in what our clients want to accomplish, learning about their brand inside and out so that we can be their effective messengers. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every road worth taking has challenges, and on the journey of Reach PR, these have ranged from adapting to an evolving editorial landscape to finding openings to pursue new business and build our community while effectively servicing our clients. When we hit a bump, I remember that it’s through the hard that we find growth – and it’s the lessons we gain in these times that power us forward on the other days.
We’ve been impressed with Reach Public Relations, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Reach Public Relations is a boutique agency with 20 years of experience specializing in media relations and strategic influencer marketing for natural food brands. We’re passionate about sharing our clients’ stories, and we’ve proudly represented pioneers in the category, including Harvest Snaps, Once Again Nut Butter, and Local Hive Honey – each of which are on our current roster. In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
AI powdered search results, which pull information from third-party sources like news outlets (vs. social media platforms or ads), have given public relations – in particular earned media which we specialize in – an added boost of importance for brands looking to be discovered by consumers online. While the presence of sponsored and pay-to-play content in public relations is more present than ever, clients are increasingly seeing the value of brand exposure and recognition in quality, more traditional editorial.
