Today we’d like to introduce you to Nyme Manns.

Hi Nyme, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Nyme Manns, but everyone knows me as Ocho. I was born & raised in Baltimore, MD. Growing up, I had football & basketball dreams. Aspired to be a pro athlete, but life had different plans. I graduated from Bowie state university, where I earned a plethora of accolades. All American, top receiver in the country, broke every record in school history & still hold the record + many more. After football was over. I was working at Oracle: one of the biggest/ most elite tech companies in the world. While doing that, I started my personal training business. While doing both, I had gotten an opportunity to move to LA & train on a higher platform. Once I took the risk to move here in 2019, I had to make the decision to leave Oracle & pursue training full-time.

One of the most scariest moments of my life, moving across the world, not knowing anyone, leaving a comfortable situation to pursue a dream that I had only been doing for maybe eight months… left Oracle, and started to make a name for myself. Six months in living here… I get sent to federal prison, I was confused, and I didn’t know where my life would end up, I thought I had let my family, and friends, the ones who believed & was counting on me. Once I got out, it was Covid. I didn’t know what to do… so I decided to start my own brand; went from driving around the whole LA, doing house calls, exhausted, and grinding. Then I found a storage unit in a parking garage & turned it into a mini gym. From there, I grew so much; it was time to take the risk && open up a bigger space. Did that: grew an insane clientele base & then expanded after one year. Now my gym is one of the most ELITE private gyms in LA.

Also, I just recently launched my streetwear brand called: Keep Winning LA. Keep Winning is all about persevering through adversity and striving for greatness. It’s a lifestyle that I live and breathe every day, and I’m constantly inspired by others who share the same mindset. We’ve only been live now for three months & it’s growing fast. Had 3-4 drops so far; sales is going crazy; people are really rocking with the brand. But none of this would be possible without god. KEEP WINNING

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. It’s had its ups & down. But they were lessons. The adversity shaped me & prepared me for what life was gonna throw at me.

I’ve always been known for whatever I put my hands on or put my mind to I turn into gold. I sometimes feel like life was always written for me. I’m destined for greatness && the most special part is that I’m inspiring others while building. The best feeling in the world.
