Inspiring Conversations with Mykyta Shymshyrian, Owner of Stone Harmonia USA LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mykyta Shymshyrian.

Hi Mykyta, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to Los Angeles is not just a business story—it’s a personal one. I was born and raised in Ukraine, and from an early stage, I was exposed to an international environment. I studied in England and Switzerland, which gave me a broader perspective on business, culture, and how to think globally. Those experiences shaped the way I approach opportunities today.

Life eventually brought me to the United States, and like many immigrants, I had to start again in a completely new environment. Los Angeles became that place for me—a city where creativity meets ambition, and where I saw the opportunity to build something meaningful.

That’s how StoneHarmonia USA began.

Today, we are physically based in Los Angeles, California, with our main warehouse in South El Monte. From here, our natural stone panels are reaching clients across the United States and increasingly beyond. What we focus on is natural stone—but presented in a way that feels new, practical, and adaptable to modern design.

Our core product is created through a unique technology that allows us to take an ultra-thin layer of natural stone directly from a solid stone block using a specialized process. This makes it possible to produce flexible natural stone panels that retain the authentic look and texture of real stone, while being lightweight and easy to work with. Because the panels are waterproof, they can be used for both interior and exterior applications, opening up a wide range of possibilities for architects, designers, and builders.

For me, however, the technology is only part of the story. What truly matters is how people use it—how it helps bring ideas to life in a simpler and more efficient way.

Over a relatively short period of time, we have been growing quickly. Our materials are now represented in showrooms in Los Angeles California, New York ; and Fort Lauderdale/Miami. We are opening new showrooms in Philadelphia and Scottsdale, Arizona, and we continue to expand through strong partnerships across the industry.

This growth has been very organic. It comes from collaboration—with designers, fabricators, developers, and partners who see the value of working with a material that combines natural beauty with flexibility and efficiency.

At the same time, I never separate the business from the journey behind it. Moving from Ukraine, continuing my path through Europe, and rebuilding in the United States has shaped how I approach both business and relationships.

I believe in creating something long-term—not just in materials, but in partnerships and reputation. Step by step, we are building a company that is not only introducing a new product to the market, but also contributing to how modern spaces are designed and built.

Los Angeles gave me the platform to start this chapter. What we are building now is much bigger—and we are just getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road—and it’s not meant to be. Building something real, especially in a new country, comes with challenges at every step.

But when you truly believe in what you do and stay fully committed, those challenges don’t stop you—they drive you. That’s what leads to success.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
StoneHarmonia USA is a Los Angeles–based company specializing in natural thin flexible stone panels for both interior and exterior applications. We focus on bringing a modern, practical approach to natural stone—making it lighter, more versatile, and easier to work with, while preserving its authentic look and feel.

What sets us apart is not just the product, but how we position it. We introduce a solution that expands design possibilities and simplifies installation, allowing architects, designers, and builders to use real stone in ways that were not possible before.

What I’m most proud of is how the market is responding. At exhibitions and shows, people come to our booth already recognizing our brand and product. They share positive feedback, strong impressions, and genuine excitement about working with our materials. That recognition—and the relationships behind it—is what truly defines our brand.

We are growing quickly, expanding our presence across multiple states, and continuing to build strong partnerships. For me, it’s not just about offering a product—it’s about building a brand that people trust, remember, and are excited to work with.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with us in many ways—we’re open to both professionals and anyone who is genuinely interested in what we do. We collaborate with architects, designers, developers, fabricators, and builders, but we also welcome homeowners and individuals who want to explore and use our materials.

Whether it’s a project, a partnership, or simply learning more about the product, we’re always open to communication and new opportunities. Our goal is to build long-term relationships and grow together with the people we work with.
