Inspiring Conversations with Francine Woods of Amour4Beaute Hair Care Essentials

Today we’d like to introduce you to Francine Woods

Hi Francine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out in the beauty industry back in 2010. Working for Esteé Lauder & Clinique. Where the company exposed me to the multi billion dollar industry. After a few years working in the industry I transitioned into the cosmetology realm. Working for other company’s such as Ulta and Drybar. Where I developed additional skills that paved the way for me branching out and working Independently. Initially renting in a traditional salon setting after building a clientele, I decided to open my own private suite here in Hermosa Beach. Amour4Beaute Hair Care Essentials, Specializing in healthy hair care. Where my goal is to ensure that every client is educated on how to create a personalized hair care regimen that they’re able to upkeep outside of the salon. That’s curated to their specific lifestyle and day-to-day needs. Also offering cut colors, BlowOuts luxury extensions, and luxury braiding styles.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Over all, I would say that I’ve been blessed transitioning into entrepreneurship. Something that I feel is very important for stylist specifically and entrepreneurs in general. Is to not skip the research step, For me, my research was working For fortune 500 companies who have the blueprints and the experience building, credible and successful businesses. Often times Stylist specifically coming into the industry, eager to work for themselves with only a basic level of skill tend to forget about the business aspect of the industry. Coming from corporate America, I knew that it was just as important. Skill and having the information to actually build and run a business. Which is why I decided to apply and work with these companies, the knowledge and the additional skills that I acquired working for them I feel like put me a few steps ahead of others who are just coming in with the industry with basic knowledge of cosmetology from school.

We’ve been impressed with Amour4Beaute Hair Care Essentials , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I would say that’s overall my business is known for educating clients on how to achieve their specific hair goals. And when I say goals I’m not only referring to a specific style. I’m speaking on needs and desires. That Varys from client to client. For example one clients goal may be to retain a specific hair length. And another clients goals would be to maintain their hair while living an active lifestyle, exercising on a daily basis and going to work immediately after. Who would like to still look put together without taking an hour out of their day to restyle their hair. And lately, a client that travels consistently for work and is in need of bulletproof regimen and style that allows for eliminating to many Hair Care products on their trips.! I feel like this is a skill that sets me apart from others. And a reason why I’ve chosen to Continue providing a wide variety of services, such as luxury braids, and extensions, haircuts, colors and blowouts. Brand wise, I am most proud of educating my clients on how to achieve their goals. Educating them from a science aspect of Hair Care using terms that they’re able to understand and identify with. I’m literally able to break it down as simple as ABC. So that my clients and able to understand what could be sabotaging their styles and hair goals. Something I would like the readers to know about my business and the services that I provide is that when you choose to book with Amour4Beaute Hair Care , This should be an enjoyable experience for the both of us. It should be stress-free and I am here to make your life easier and to achieve your Hair Care goals.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Honestly. I have many great memories from childhood. I was fortunate to grow up with a brother Danny Woods, we were very close in age only 11 months apart. And I remember feeling very confident and secure around times where most children may have felt uneasy. I always had additional information. He truly paved the way. I had a blueprint on what needed to be done. For example, on the first day of school and transitioning from elementary to middle school and again middle school to high school. I knew where I needed to go, what to expect, What was the right thing to do and wrong thing to do. Which I feel initiated a since of comfort learning from others and embracing information and embracing others point of views. It made me receptive and able to adapt! Which I feel has helped me navigating through entrepreneurship being able to identify the right mentors.
