Inspiring Conversations with Dr. Priyanka Mathur of MediPocket

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Priyanka Mathur.

Dr. Priyanka, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey has never followed a straight line—and that’s precisely what shaped who I am today.

At my core, I am many things at once: an international physician, a global healthcare entrepreneur, an author and speaker—but also a daughter, a wife, and a mother of two. Building companies while raising children, navigating multiple cultures while leading global initiatives, and balancing ambition with empathy have deeply shaped not just my career, but how I lead and why I build the way I do.

I trained and practiced medicine across multiple countries, which gave me an early and uncommon perspective on how healthcare truly works—or doesn’t—depending on where you live. When I later became an immigrant physician in the United States, I experienced firsthand how overwhelming healthcare systems can be, even for those who understand medicine. I was building a career, raising a family, and navigating complex systems all at once—and I realized that for patients without guidance, the experience could feel impossible.

One moment, in particular, stayed with me.

Late one night, I was speaking with an international patient’s family—different time zones, stacks of medical reports spread across my table, my children asleep nearby. The family had received conflicting diagnoses across two countries and didn’t know who to trust or where to go next. What they needed wasn’t just another opinion—they needed clarity, advocacy, and someone who could connect the dots across borders. That moment crystallized everything for me.

It became the foundation for what would later grow into my work in physician-led global medical navigation, helping individuals and families access the right specialists, advanced treatments, and coordinated care when decisions are complex and time-sensitive.

As my work expanded, another deeply personal calling emerged—one rooted in both medicine and motherhood.

I remember a conversation with a cancer survivor who had fought for her life, only to be told afterward that she might never carry a child. Her question to me wasn’t medical—it was human: “Is there still a way for me to have a family?” That moment stayed with me long after the call ended and ultimately led me to build a physician-led family-building and surrogacy platform, grounded in medical integrity, ethics, and compassion.

Supporting families—whether couples, single parents, LGBTQ+ families, or cancer survivors—has reinforced for me that healthcare is not just about treatment; it’s about futures, identity, and hope.

Alongside healthcare, I am also a serial entrepreneur who believes culture is inseparable from wellbeing. I co-own Bollywood Bites, an Indian food brand born from the idea that food is more than nourishment—it’s memory, connection, and joy. Whether through medicine or food, my work has always centered on creating comfort, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Over the years, my journey has taken me across the globe. I’ve been invited as a delegate to U.S.–UAE trade missions, participated in global healthcare conferences across the United States, Asia, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, and spoken with leaders shaping the future of international healthcare collaboration. These experiences reinforced a powerful truth: healthcare is no longer local—it’s global, interconnected, and deeply human.

Today, whether I’m building physician-led healthcare platforms, writing, speaking on global stages, or raising my children, everything I do is guided by one mission: to create intelligent, ethical, and human-centered systems that help people navigate life’s most important health and family decisions with clarity and trust.

That belief continues to guide my journey—and it’s only just beginning.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has never been a smooth road – and much of the challenge came from navigating spaces where I was often the exception.

When I arrived in the United States, I was a young female physician, an immigrant, and a minority, learning a new healthcare system without family support or established networks. Beyond medicine, I had to understand a new culture -how credibility is built, how leadership is perceived, and how to find my voice in environments where women, especially women of color, were still underrepresented.

Those challenges intensified when I stepped into entrepreneurship and health innovation. As a non-technical, physician founder, I was building complex, global healthcare solutions in rooms dominated by technology, capital, and traditional power structures. I often had to work harder to be heard, to advocate for patient-first decisions, and to translate clinical realities into business and technical language – while maintaining ethical guardrails in fast-moving systems.

At the same time, I was building companies while building a family – becoming a wife and a mother of two – carrying the invisible responsibilities that many women leaders quietly shoulder. The pressure didn’t pause, even when the path forward felt uncertain.

Creating MediPocket Global Medical Care Concierge meant navigating cross-border healthcare systems, aligning medicine with technology responsibly, and earning trust in spaces where healthcare, innovation, and business intersect. Building MediPocket Physician-Led Surrogacy brought a different set of challenges – establishing a medically and ethically grounded family-building model in an industry often driven by transactions rather than long-term wellbeing, while supporting couples, single parents, LGBTQ+ families, and cancer survivors.

What carried me through these challenges was clarity of purpose. I never set out to build the easiest path – I set out to build one that was responsible, inclusive, and deeply human.

Being a woman, a minority, and a non-technical founder didn’t limit my leadership – it refined it. Every obstacle sharpened my resilience, strengthened my voice, and shaped how I build with integrity, empathy, and long-term vision today.

As you know, we’re big fans of MediPocket. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
MediPocket operates as a physician-led, private-client healthcare platform serving high performers, UHNWI, global elites, and internationally influential families navigating complex medical and family-building decisions. Through two separate but closely aligned companies—MediPocket Global Medical Care Concierge and MediPocket Surrogacy USA—we provide discreet, high-touch, physician-guided support for those who require precision, privacy, and exceptional care across borders.

MediPocket was created to solve a problem I saw repeatedly as a physician: people don’t fail healthcare—healthcare systems fail people, especially when conditions are complex, time-sensitive, or emotionally overwhelming. Even with access to world-class medicine, many patients and families lack a trusted medical advocate to help them navigate decisions where the stakes are high and the margin for error is small.

At its core, MediPocket Global Medical Care Concierge is designed for private clients, executives, and elite international families who want clarity, coordination, and physician-led accountability when navigating specialty and complex care. We specialize in high-stakes medical pathways, including cancer, rare and undiagnosed diseases, multi-system and genetic conditions, pediatric and adult neurological care, advanced cardiac cases, fertility preservation, and precision-led longevity and preventative health programs.

Our role is not to replace physicians—it is to design and oversee the optimal care pathway. We connect clients to the right specialists, advanced treatments, and leading Centers of Excellence worldwide, and coordinate every aspect of care around that decision. What sets MediPocket apart is that we don’t simply offer referrals—we provide medical navigation and advocacy, with a physician guiding each case end-to-end. This includes access to advanced oncology therapies, clinical trial matching, integrative and alternative care when appropriate, and emerging innovations such as personalized cancer vaccine development, depending on the case.

MediPocket is trusted by private clients, families, enterprises, and strategic partners who value precision over guesswork, discretion over volume, and thoughtful decision-making when timelines, outcomes, and long-term implications truly matter. While our platform is designed for elite and private-client use, our services are also sought by individuals and families facing exceptionally complex medical journeys who require physician-led advocacy and coordination.

Alongside this, MediPocket Surrogacy USA is our U.S.-based, physician-led family-building and surrogacy company, supporting U.S. and international intended parents. We work with private clients and global families—including couples, single parents, LGBTQ+ families, and cancer survivors—who are building families after medical or personal hardship.

Our surrogacy model is intentionally different: clinically guided, highly curated, and discreet, with pre-screened surrogates, ethical oversight, and fully coordinated medical, legal, and emotional support from start to finish. Being physician-led in this space matters—it ensures safety, transparency, and long-term well-being for intended parents, surrogates, and future children. We are especially proud to offer an inclusive, respectful pathway to parenthood grounded in the belief that family is defined by love, intention, and care—not by one structure or circumstance.

What I am most proud of, brand-wise, is that MediPocket stands for trust. In moments when people feel most vulnerable—whether facing a life-altering diagnosis or envisioning a family—we step in as advocates, navigators, and long-term partners.

MediPocket exists for moments when healthcare and family-building decisions are too important to navigate alone.
We don’t just connect people to care—we guide them to the right care, at the right time, with a physician by their side.

For readers who resonate with this mission, MediPocket is for those who expect discretion, excellence, and human-centered guidance when making some of life’s most consequential decisions.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
If I could go back and speak to my younger self – and to anyone just beginning their journey – I would say this: don’t wait to feel ready. Growth rarely comes with permission or certainty.

When I was starting out, I believed I needed more credentials, more validation, or the perfect plan before taking bold steps. What I learned instead is that clarity comes after action, not before it. The most meaningful opportunities in my life appeared only once I was already in motion.

I also wish I had understood earlier that being different is not a disadvantage – it’s a strength. As a woman, an immigrant, and someone who didn’t fit neatly into one category, I spent years trying to adapt to existing systems. Over time, I realized that the very experiences that made me feel like an outsider were the ones that allowed me to see problems others couldn’t – and build solutions that didn’t yet exist.

Another lesson I learned the hard way: you don’t have to do everything alone. Especially for high-achieving individuals, asking for help can feel uncomfortable. But building anything meaningful – whether a career, a company, or a life – requires community, mentors, and trusted collaborators. Seeking support is not a weakness; it’s wisdom.

For those stepping into entrepreneurship or leadership, I would add this: anchor yourself in purpose, not comparison. Trends change. Opinions shift. But if your work is rooted in service, integrity, and impact, you will build something that lasts – even when the path feels uncertain.

And finally, remember that success is not linear. There will be seasons of acceleration and seasons of quiet progress. Both matter. Give yourself permission to grow at your own pace, and don’t underestimate the power of consistency over perfection.

If you stay curious, lead with empathy, and remain committed to doing the work that feels meaningful to you, the journey will unfold in ways you could never fully plan – but will be deeply grateful for.
