Inspiring Conversations with Diamond Baird of Blisslifestyle + Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diamond Baird.

Diamond, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Being a young girl with wild dreams from the city of Detroit,MI has given me the confidence to thrive in this world today. My family has always been my biggest cheerleaders. I believe thats why I’m where I am today. When I left my hometown to attend school at Tenn State University in Nashville, TN I didn’t know how much that would shape me and shift my dreams. During my time at school I lost both of my grandparents and a sister due to health complications. Those life events sent me to a very dark place of depression and loneliness because I wasn’t near my family. After some time, I begin to lean onto the very thing I enjoyed doing growing up to help with my mental health which was being active. I started working out on campus and stumbled across a nutrition class. It’s funny because one of my assignments was on lupus which was the same autoimmune disease my sister passed from. I now know that was God’s direction all along. Working out and nutrition put a spark in me that I couldn’t stop thinking about and I wanted to educate my community on the very thing that helped me out of depression. I ended up graduating with a Human Performance Sports Science degree and practiced training with my friends and myself to build my brand. 9 years of consistency, knowledge and growth I was able to open up my own studio back in Detroit, start a active wear business, train over 100 plus men and women throughout the U.S when COVID hit and curating a host of wellness events throughout the years. As of today I am focused on women’s health and being that bridge to help women understand their bodies beyond the outer appearance. I am extremely grateful for this path because I am able to help so many people find their Bliss physically, mentally and spiritually.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In no way has this been a smooth road. Some of the struggles I’ve faced were still trying to maintain a living while building a brand (Blisslifestyle + fitness). There were times where I had to make a decision to quit my jobs because my clientele was picking up and I needed more availability. Well right after I quit my job my car was totaled which caused me to take Ubers, walk and carpool to train my clients. My determination wouldn’t let road blocks deteriorate me from my goals. Staying disciplined and rooted in my faith allowed me to save money and open up my own studio. I was in my early twenties at the time so I made a lot of rookie mistakes that eventually built character in the long run. I think with being an entrepreneur there isn’t a lot of smooth roads lol, you just learn how to manage the road blocks better.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Blisslifestyle + fitness is a health and wellness company that provides strength training and nutrition tailored towards women’s health. I now have an active wear line which reflects our brand mission. Helping individuals feel confident and bliss no matter the shape or size. I am known for helping women understand their bodies through hormonal changes, autoimmune diseases, pre & post natal, fat loss goals and just overall finding a better relationship with food and their bodies. What sets me apart from others is my own personal experiences with what I offer and being able to relate, find solutions and create community. Not just in one state but offering my services worldwide. I’ve learned years ago that the gift God has given me isn’t boxed in for one state. My reach is universal. I am proud that I get to create a safe space for women to trust me with their health. That’s something I don’t take lightly. I want readers to know that I am passionate about the services I offer and that they can come to me for all things health and wellness. I have my first book that I am releasing called The 3F effect ( faith, fitness, food) and If you’re looking for the next breakthrough active wear line look no further.

How do you define success?
I define success as completing the task that’s in front of you at the highest level even if you had a few failures to get there. Success is not giving up on the hard things even when the goals and dreams look unattainable. It’s creating resources with your God given gifts. Success doesn’t stop at one destination it is a lifetime of growth.
