Hi AYESHA, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I would love to! My name is Ayesha Sehra, born and raised in Toronto, Canada – now living in Los Angeles! I am the Founder & CEO Grow The Social LLC, a Branding & PR Agency based in Los Angeles, CA. Our agency specializes a range of PR services and scopes, specifically Talent & Brand PR representation and management. We specialize in brand & business Consulting, media training, influencer marketing, strategic brand partnerships & full service event production.
I am also Podcast Host of business & mindset podcast, Coffee & A Good Vibe. I love nothing more than connecting with inspiring people! Each week on the podcast, I sit down with notable founders & entrepreneurs, thought leaders and influential tastemakers / influencers to learn more about their respective journey and path to success.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not a smooth and linear journey as the entrepreneur journey is far from that!
Moving to a new country and navigating the wild journey of visas / immigration and building a company at 22 years old was a wild ride but would never take back any part of it.
That time period of 22-23 years old was definitely the most difficult period especially moving to a city like Los Angeles, CA with no family, friends, any sort of network out here prior to moving. However it was the most rewarding and growing period of my life. After overcoming every roadblock, constant ‘no’ and building a company from ground 0 – you truly feel like no mountain is too high to climb. The life of an entrepreneur is never linear and everyday is a new adventure but getting over that first hump of building and scaling the company and successfully attaining my E2 Visa made me feel like no mountain is too high to climb.
The mental fortitude and grit you build from the journey is the reward. I tell my team everyday, entrepreneurship is a sport. You must show up every day like it is day 1 and be hungry to learn, grow and adapt quickly!
Adversities, challenges and obstacles are just growth opportunities getting us closer to where we want to be.
