Today we’d like to introduce you to Antony Miranghi
Hi Antony, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2019, my life took a dramatic turn. During Thanksgiving break, my dad urged me to get bloodwork done after I mentioned I wasn’t feeling well. I was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with late-onset Type 1 diabetes, a condition that required me to manage my insulin levels through injections. This diagnosis turned my world upside down. I could no longer sustain my unhealthy, sleep-deprived college lifestyle.
Many people, including family, offered me special treatment, insisting I needed to take it easy and warning me about what I could and couldn’t do. But I have always been somewhat of a rebel. I didn’t want others dictating my limitations. Soon after my diagnosis, I threw myself into fitness, reading, and personal development, proving to myself—and the world—that I could live my best life despite the challenges.
Fast forward four years, I took a bold leap and moved to Los Angeles during the height of the COVID pandemic. I started creating fitness content on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and what began as a simple hobby quickly gained momentum. My rants and gym humor struck a chord with many, and the positive feedback inspired me to launch Sinnskraft Academy. Through this platform, I empower men to transform their lives by embracing fitness as a lifestyle, becoming their own fitness coaches, overcoming addictions, and enhancing their mental health.
Today, I’m grateful for the profound impact I’ve had on my male clients. After moving in with my girlfriend and our three pets, I shared this life change with my audience, which sparked a surge of interest in expanding my coaching to women. This new focus is now taking up a significant portion of my time alongside my ongoing work with existing clients and continuously refining my offerings. Regardless of whom I coach, my mission remains steadfast: to inspire those ready to rebel against their own seemingly insurmountable odds.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has been anything BUT smooth.
Four years ago, I was the last person you’d expect to talk in front of a camera. My first 100+ videos were undeniably terrible, and I grappled with a deep fear of recording myself and sharing my less-than-perfect creations. It took months of experimenting with different content formats to discover what resonated with people and what the algorithms favored. Ultimately, I found that being relatable and unique was my biggest asset. In the fitness space, I noticed a lack of content that mirrored my approach—using relatable fitness humor and rants instead of traditional gym vlogs or lifting videos.
Throughout my content creation journey, I faced numerous creative blocks and bouts of burnout. I was held back by the limiting belief that I needed to produce content every single day to achieve growth. This pressure sometimes led me to force ideas that just didn’t resonate, and it became clear that when my energy was off, my audience could feel it too.
When it came time to launch my coaching business, I encountered a whole new set of challenges. While I had mastered creating engaging content, I struggled to convert my audience into customers. I knew nothing about sales or the systems required to turn my vision into reality, and the sheer volume of information I needed to absorb felt overwhelming. With guidance from successful entrepreneurs and coaches, I learned how to build my offer from the ground up while prioritizing my mental health and avoiding burnout.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sinnskraft Academy?
At Sinnskraft Academy, we provide you with all the tools and resources you need to succeed in fitness and make it a lifelong habit. It is not your traditional “fitness program”, where you get pre-made meal plans and training plans from your coach and just blindly follow it. It is a lot more than just that.
I am most proud of the fact that the methods I outlined in this program have not just transformed my own life, but also the lives of dozens of individuals, helping them achieve their fitness goals and embrace healthier lifestyles.
I believe that the journey to true fitness starts with the right mindset. Fitness is not just about physical transformation; it’s a powerful way to feel good about yourself and your life. That’s why I named the Academy “Sinnskraft,” meaning “Power of Mind” in Norwegian.
The program begins by identifying any mental barriers that may be holding you back, laying the foundation for positive change. We then delve into the three other essential pillars of fitness: exercise, recovery, and nutrition. Alongside comprehensive course materials, I offer actionable steps to help you implement lasting changes immediately, regardless of your goal.
Joining Sinnskraft Academy also gives you access to the exclusive online community, where you’ll find the support and accountability you need to thrive. Unlike traditional personal training, our community fosters a collaborative environment where you can share your progress and challenges with me as your coach and your fellow students, enhancing your journey toward success.
This Academy is not for those looking for someone to push them into the gym or do the work for them. It’s designed for individuals who are ready to commit to positive change and are willing to be coachable and put in the effort required.
The Sinnskraft Fitness and Mindset Academy is your one-stop shop for everything you need to reap the benefits of fitness in every area of your life. It offers a practical, easy-to-understand approach to help you build the body and mindset that you want, complete with personalized support and accountability every step of the way.
What were you like growing up?
If I had to sum myself up in two words while growing up, I’d call myself an “introverted rebel.” At my core, I’m a deep introvert, but every now and then, I find myself pushing against that nature and embracing my inner extrovert, if only for a moment.
To illustrate my rebellious spirit, let me share a childhood story. Before moving to the U.S., I lived in Belarus—a small Eastern European country nestled west of Russia and just north of Ukraine. My parents divorced when I was very young, and I spent my early years with my mom, a busy businesswoman who worked tirelessly. Although she was a loving mother, she was also quite strict, and our household was filled with rules. The most significant of these was a strict ban on eating in the living room. My mom was a neat freak, and a single crumb on the couch meant I’d be grounded from my toys or friends for at least a week. Naturally, the more rules she set, the more I felt compelled to break them.
One day, after school, I received a call from my grandma, who had baked my favorite Napoleon cake—a delicious multi-layered pastry that I considered the best dessert on Earth. I hopped on the trolley bus to fetch it and rushed home, devouring the entire cake in the living room, confident I had enough time to vacuum away the evidence before my mom returned.
But then came a fateful call at 5 PM, signaled by the unmistakable Darth Vader’s Imperial March ringtone I had assigned to my mom. She had finished work early and would be home in just ten minutes. Panic set in—I leaped up to grab the vacuum, only to remember it was with the neighbors. That night, I faced the consequences, but the rebellious spirit inside me refused to fade.
At 13, I moved to Brooklyn, NY, to live with my dad, who believed I’d benefit from an American education. I was thrilled at the thought of easier access to the American candy he used to bring me, but I soon faced a daunting challenge: I didn’t know any English.
To help me navigate 7th grade, my dad enrolled me in a private school where the teachers spoke Russian, so I could ask for clarification when needed. On my first day, I learned about a critical exam—the Specialized High School Admissions Test—looming just two months away. This three-hour test would determine my future, and to make matters worse, half of it tested my English reading and writing skills.
Luckily, the other half focused on math, a subject I had always excelled in. It was my saving grace, allowing me to avoid the bleak prospects my dad warned of—like cleaning toilets if I didn’t work hard 🙂
Do you think a math nerd with a slightly rebellious spirit could even imagine that he would eventually be making content and helping guys transform their lives? Absolutely not! Life is an interesting journey indeed.
