Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelique & Mark Collis.

Hi Angelique & Mark, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We started Zoom Room Woodland Hills because we are extremely passionate about dogs! We love helping them and their humans grow, learn, thrive, and have fun. Our love of dog training came about when we took our dog, Huckleberry, to his first puppy class seven years ago. The experience that we shared with him that day was so special and gratifying that we knew we wanted to guide others on their own dog training journey and help them have the best experience possible.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It takes a lot to open and run a business, so there were many bumps and obstacles along the way. But we were resolute (or was it stubborn?) in that we simply had to work with dogs and bring the positive training philosophy of Zoom Room to the community in and around Woodland Hills. We are so grateful to our wonderful clients for supporting us and for telling their friends about us because it is what keeps us going.

As you know, we’re big fans of Zoom Room Woodland Hills. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Zoom Room Woodland Hills provides exceptional dog training classes using only positive reinforcement training methods.

Our unique offering of group classes includes Agility, Obedience, and Tricks classes, Need to learn some skills or work on a behavior? Sign up for an Obedience class! In the mood for some fun and excitement? Come on down to an Agility or Tricks class. With a Zoom Room class pass, you can try them all!

Have a new puppy? We’ve got you covered. Socialization in puppies is extremely important. However, many owners are justifiably concerned about taking their new puppies out into the world, especially for pups that are not yet fully vaccinated. That’s where we come in. We are proud to offer Puppy Preschool (ages 2 – 4 months), which is a program specially designed for puppies that are under-vaccinated. These young, developing minds crave play and socialization with other dogs. Prior to class, the entire gym and store is thoroughly sanitized in a hospital-grade cleaning agent, and dogs in the class are vetted, approved, and matched appropriately. Once a puppy is older than four months and fully vaccinated, they can graduate into Puppy Training+ and Puppy Playgroup (both for pups ages 4 – 8 months). Once they are done with these classes, they can try any of our other offerings!

Zoom Room also offers one-on-one Private Training, playgroups for all sizes and ages, and private gym rental! You can also throw your dog an epic birthday party or sign up for one of our enrichment workshops, like Scent Workshop, all in our indoor climate-controlled dog gym.

At Zoom Room, we are all about nurturing the bond between you and your dog. That’s why our motto is ‘we don’t train dogs; we train the people who love them!’ We truly enjoy what we do here at Zoom Room Woodland Hills. One of the best parts of our job is getting to see the joy on owners’ (and dogs’!) faces as things just ‘click.’ It is a wonderful feeling, and we love helping to make that happen. We are so proud to hear of success stories as dogs graduate from our classes and go out into the world. We are also overjoyed when a dog discovers the joy and thrill of trying different classes. So many friendships have been forged here in the gym, with clients connecting in class or playgroup and going on to book private gym play dates together. It’s a great feeling to be such a positive force in the community.
