Today we’d like to introduce you to Vision Taylor.
Hi Vision, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey started in 2020, during a time of global uncertainty and personal reflection. At the time, I was working in a corporate office in Dallas for a medical device company. Like many others during the pandemic, I found myself struggling with my mental health and questioning what truly mattered to me. It became clear that something had to shift.
I committed to a deep process of self-reflection and created an exit strategy that would completely change my life. I enrolled at the esteemed Parker University in Dallas, TX, where I had the opportunity to learn from deeply experienced professionals in the field of wellness and bodywork. As I unearthed new parts of myself, I also discovered a gap in care within my own community.
I’ve always believed that everyone deserves access to quality care—but I saw firsthand how getting to a spa or massage boutique wasn’t always realistic or accessible for many people. Inspired by my late grandfather and driven by a heart for service, I founded Aligned Touch Massage—a mobile massage practice rooted in meeting people where they are, both physically and emotionally.
What started as a personal journey to heal myself has evolved into a purpose-driven business that allows me to help others feel seen, supported, and restored. Today, I’m proud to serve the people of Southern California—specifically the South Bay area, including Inglewood, Torrance, Carson, Gardena, Hawthorne, and surrounding communities. I’m honored to hold space for people in this way, and I look forward to continuing to bring healing into homes and communities one session at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has definitely been bumpy. After officially establishing my business, Aligned Touch Massage, in 2022, I experienced one of the most difficult losses of my life — my grandfather passed away. His death completely rocked my world. We were close, and he was a major inspiration behind my work. Grieving his loss while trying to grow a new business was incredibly challenging, but in that pain, I’ve also found more of my why. His memory continues to fuel my commitment to showing up for others with care, presence, and heart.
In the beginning, I had to get creative in building my clientele. I put myself out there by doing pop-ups at local events and offering chair massage as a way to introduce my work and connect with the community. I was in anew reality learning as I went, discovering what worked in those spaces and what didn’t. It was both a marketing tool and a way to build trust through hands-on experience. Those early events helped me build momentum and confidence for my business in the wellness world.
Then, at the end of 2023, I made another bold move — relocating to California. Starting over in a new state with a completely different market has been both humbling and eye-opening. I’ve had to find and rebuild my client base, reintroduce my brand to a new audience, and juggle all the moving parts that come with adjusting to a new environment — personally and professionally.
Imagine running a mobile massage business while navigating unfamiliar roads, literally and figuratively. Every route has required patience, persistence, and a deep belief in my vision. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s stretched me in the best ways and reminded me that growth often begins where comfort ends.
Of course, there have been moments of doubt, financial uncertainty, and burnout — those come with the territory when you’re building something from the ground up. But each challenge has been a lesson in slowing down, tuning in, and trusting that I’m being guided by something greater than myself. These moments remind me to stay rooted in my purpose.
This work has never just been about business — it’s about service, connection, and creating a space where people can return to themselves. And truthfully, sometimes that includes me too. The healing I offer others often reflects the healing I need for myself. That’s what keeps me going.
We’ve been impressed with Aligned Touch Massage, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Aligned Touch Massage is a mobile wellness practice built on the belief that healing should be accessible, intentional, and deeply human. I specialize in therapeutic, intuitive massage that goes beyond surface-level relaxation to support the body, mind, and spirit as a whole. I bring the spa experience directly to clients—whether they’re at home, at an event, or even at a retreat—because I believe everyone deserves care, regardless of mobility, schedule, or access.
What sets me apart is my heart-first approach. “I care about your wellbeing.” That’s not just a tagline — it’s the foundation of everything I do. You can feel it in my touch, in how I ask questions, how I check in before, during, and after the session, and how I completely remove my ego from the experience. This isn’t about me — it’s about you, your comfort, your process, and your healing.
I’m known for creating a space where clients feel safe to let go, where vulnerability is met with care and professionalism. And honestly, that trust — that deep, sacred trust my clients place in me — is what I’m most proud of. When someone feels safe enough to relax, to cry, to breathe fully for the first time in weeks, or to say “I needed that more than I realized,” I know I’m walking in my purpose. The vulnerability that unfolds during a session is never taken lightly. It’s an honor.
Technically, I offer a blend of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, and energy-informed bodywork — but what makes the work special is the presence and intention I bring to each session. I meet every client where they are, tuning in to what their body and spirit need in that moment.
But Aligned Touch Massage isn’t just about physical touch — it’s about complete wellbeing. That’s why I’m currently expanding into wellness coaching, to support clients beyond the table. I want to help people connect to their wellness in a more holistic way—mentally, emotionally, and energetically. I believe self-care is both personal and revolutionary, and I want to empower people with the tools, practices, and accountability they need to sustain their wellness journey.
I also create community offerings like virtual self-care challenges and host educational workshops at retreats, where I teach people how to do lymphatic drainage techniques at home, listen to their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and cultivate intentional rest. These are not just services—they’re invitations back to yourself.
Everything I offer, I practice myself. I prioritize my own healing and rituals so that I’m always serving from a place of fullness, not depletion. That inner work allows me to show up more grounded, present, and attuned for those I care for.
In the end, Aligned Touch Massage is about more than massage—it’s about holding space for people to feel seen, supported, and restored. Whether I’m working with someone navigating chronic stress, recovering from trauma, or simply in need of deep rest, my intention is always to meet them with compassion and care that lasts long after the session ends.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Absolutely. One of the biggest pieces of advice I can offer is: don’t try to do everything at once. Take your time to explore different modalities and find what truly speaks to you as a therapist. Your clients will feel the difference when your work comes from a place of alignment and passion.
I once had a professor tell me, “I’d rather be great at one thing than mediocre at several.” That really stuck with me and became a guiding principle in my practice. It’s tempting to want to master every technique or cater to every kind of client, but there’s something powerful about finding your lane and owning it with intention.
Something I wish I knew before starting is that there’s rarely a moment when you feel “ready.” That feeling may never fully come. What happens instead is that your confidence builds as you continue the journey—by showing up, learning, making mistakes, and growing through the experience. Trust that the clarity will come in motion, not before it.
So, to anyone just beginning stay curious, give yourself grace, and let your passion be your compass. It’s okay to grow slowly and intentionally. Your work will find the people who need it most.
