Hi Tiffany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m proud to call myself a native Angeleno, hailing from Redondo Beach, CA. My educational journey began at UCLA for my undergraduate degree, followed by a master’s in educational administration at Cal Poly SLO. I also spent three rewarding years in the Bay Area before returning to LA.

These days, I’m proudly wearing the hat of the founder at LightPath Admissions. We specialize in providing personalized guidance to undergraduates, graduate students, and MBA hopefuls who are looking to navigate the exciting world of management consulting specially MBB firms (McKinsey & Co., Bain & Co., and Boston Consulting Group). My journey led me to a role as a campus recruiter at McKinsey & Co. and working in admissions at Stanford and USC gave me a unique perspective on both higher education and corporate recruitment.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been quite an interesting journey, with a few twists and turns along the way. In 2018, I made the decision to leave the corporate world behind to pursue my master’s degree in educational administration. This shift led me to a career in higher education, where I spent four years working at both Stanford and USC.

However, my journey took another turn when I decided to pivot back to the corporate world, taking on talent management. Then, made the pivotal decision to step into self-employment by founding LightPath Admissions. This venture allows me to share my knowledge and insights with students aspiring to pursue careers in MBB management consulting.

So, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but each step has brought valuable experiences and insights that have shaped my career path.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As a child, I was naturally outgoing and social. I enjoyed adding light-heartedness and humor to different situations.

When it came to school, well, let’s just say I wasn’t always the most studious student. I had a tendency to chat with friends in class, which occasionally got me into a bit of hot water with my teachers.

On a different note, I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and sappy movies. I would be the first person to cry in theaters. My sensitivity is a part of who I am, and I still find solace and joy in genuine emotions.
