Hi, I’m Taylor Strydom, an esthetician and acne specialist passionate about helping others achieve clear, healthy skin. My journey into skincare began with my own personal struggle—growing up, I battled deep and painful cystic acne. Like so many others, I tried countless products and treatments, but nothing worked long enough to make a real difference. That all changed when I started working with an acne specialist, who also happens to be my closest friend. They guided me through the challenging journey of understanding my skin, and finally, I was able to get clear.

This experience ignited my passion for skincare and led me into the industry. Now, I have the privilege of being that guide for others who are struggling with their skin. At my studio, I offer natural beauty-enhancing services like brow shaping, lamination, and tinting, along with lash lifting and tinting. I also specialize in acne treatments and customized skincare programs, including the DMK enzyme treatment.

My goal is not only to help clients achieve healthy, radiant skin but to empower them with confidence and a sense of self-care that lasts long after the treatment is over. For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping others on their own skincare journeys, just like someone once did for me.

It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many people, I faced significant struggles with my skin growing up, dealing with deep and painful cystic acne. That experience was incredibly tough—not only physically, but also emotionally. I tried so many different treatments and products, and nothing worked long-term. It felt frustrating and isolating, and I know how overwhelming that can be.

Starting my business also came with its own challenges. I had to learn not only the technical side of skincare but also how to navigate the ups and downs of being a small business owner. Balancing the financial side, finding my ideal clientele, and building trust within my community took time. But every challenge along the way has helped me grow, both personally and professionally.

Despite these struggles, those tough moments helped shape the empathy and understanding I have for my clients today. I’ve been in their shoes, and that’s what drives me to offer personalized, compassionate care to everyone I work with.

Any big plans?
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue growing my business and expanding my offerings. I plan to add lymphatic drainage massage to my treatment services, which will complement my current skincare treatments by helping reduce puffiness, improve circulation, and support overall skin health. I believe this addition will provide even more comprehensive results for my clients, especially those looking for a holistic approach to beauty and wellness.

In addition to my skincare treatments, I’ll continue to offer beauty-enhancing services like brow shaping, lamination, and tinting, as well as lash lifting and tinting. These services have become client favorites, and I’m always looking for new ways to refine and elevate these treatments to help clients look and feel their best.

I’m also focused on bringing in more advanced skincare treatments and staying up-to-date with the latest innovations in the industry, particularly for clients with complex skin conditions like cystic acne. Additionally, I want to expand the educational resources I offer, whether through workshops or online content, to help people feel more confident in managing their skin at home.
