Hidden Gems: Meet Diana Smith of Complete Trinity: Soul Sanctuary

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Smith.

Hi Diana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After 15 years of marriage and two young daughters, I felt the calling—the urge for expansion—and set off on my own spiritual path, stepping away from traditional norms. I no longer felt content with the cookie-cutter lifestyle: the husband, the home, the cars, and the corporate job. Waking up to the realization that you can have it all and still feel profoundly lonely next to the person you’ve shared and created your home with for the last 15 years is one of the hardest truths a woman can admit to herself. There was no longer any resonance, common ground, or connection with that life. Nothing fulfilled me anymore—except my two babies.

This became the beginning of the deepest and most personal confrontation and purge of my life. As is often the case, the journey began by revisiting the past.

Growing up in a hostile and violent home, fear became my everyday norm. The sounds—the screaming, the crying—and then the deafening silence that followed left me constantly walking on eggshells. The ever-present threat of violence made me feel like I could get in trouble at any moment, so I tried to walk the fine line of being the perfect child while silently praying to remain invisible.

My father, although a caring man and a fierce protector of his family, was also very strict and very angry. I know he meant well, but his form of parenting is something no child should ever have to endure. My mother didn’t make things easier. I can only assume now that, being so violently controlled herself, the only thing she felt she could control was me.

She instilled in me a profound body dysmorphia, forcing me into extreme fasting and the use of laxatives. I hated the reflection in the mirror, and she never missed an opportunity to point out my flaws or express her disappointment. It seemed I was never enough for her.

This trauma triggered chronic intestinal issues, leading to years of mental and physical suffering. The physical abuse and constant fear eventually brought on depression and suicidal thoughts. My weight fluctuated wildly, hours at the gym yielded no visible results, and acne worsened my already battered self-esteem. Eventually, my body gave out: I went an entire month without a bowel movement, suffering daily from excruciating migraines and relentless nausea.

A dear friend asked me, out of the blue, when I had last gone to the bathroom. When I shared the truth, she urged me to see her therapist immediately, fearing that if I didn’t get help, I might not survive much longer.

That conversation marked the beginning of my healing journey through colon hydrotherapy. The difference between the closed and open colonic systems was significant for me. The open system helped retrain my colon, allowing me to finally go to the bathroom without laxatives—for the first time since childhood. Something truly magical happens when you begin to release the angst, toxins, and pain held in the body. A new sense of peace and clarity emerges, creating space to reevaluate your entire life.

After making the life-altering decision to end my marriage and pursue a more authentic path, I chose to turn colon hydrotherapy into a career. It had saved my life and initiated my spiritual awakening.

With renewed love and compassion for others, I felt called to serve those in need of a life reset—or for some, a spiritual awakening. I am also an initiated ancestral medicine carrier and guide in ceremonial healing Soul Cyphers. I combine the practice of colon hydrotherapy with ancestral teachings to help usher others into some of the most expansive experiences of their lives.

In addition, I work as an intuitive coach in personal development, relationships, sexuality, and healing. I am also a poet and spoken word artist, blending the magic of language with surrender and release to help manifest powerful new realms of existence.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m 51 now. If we were to hypothetically assume we live to be 100 years old, I will say my first 50 years of life have been that of pain and deep spiritual transformation. Challenges that broke me and with great tenacity, I rose through the fire. My children, those beautiful faces, they helped me keep going and I’m so grateful they chose me to be their mother.. I’m now so much more grounded, wiser and so deeply compassionate for everyone, including those that would hate or reject me. These next 50 years are looking to be full of joy and peace and fun! I haven’t had a real vacation since 2010. It’s time to take care of me and live this second wind of my life, this spiritual youth I still have in me, to enjoy it in new and amazing ways. Maybe a podcast or stepping on grand stages to speak… Maybe even fall in love again. 🙂

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Our focus is to reset and rejuvenate the mind and body through detoxification with colon hydrotherapy. Our approach is both gentle and powerful, as we dive deep into the psyche while the physical releases are taking place. We revisit old patterns that keep us locked in a never-ending cycle of pain and suffering, and we examine how “we” may have contributed to creating the realities we live in, whether good or bad. Our goal is to empower our clients to take their healing into their own hands, reconnecting the mind with the body so they can intuitively understand what their body requires for optimal health.

While many approach this therapy from a clinical standpoint, we take a spiritual perspective. By detoxing the body, the alignment of mind and body paves the way for spiritual awakening and empowerment. This process reconnects your intuitive gifts and opens up possibilities to step into the grandest version of yourself that you’ve always dreamed of.

Many clients report a profound shedding of trauma and mental programming, which opens the door to new possibilities. This can include taking on new careers, starting businesses, leaving toxic relationships, pursuing projects to serve their communities, or simply doing things they’ve always wanted to do—such as singing, taking dance lessons, learning to play chess, or going back to school. The realm of possibilities truly becomes endless.

Of course, a journey like this requires readiness and surrender. For those not yet ready to unravel themselves on this deeper level, a colon cleanse alone provides a reset, helping them feel good in their bodies again. For those seeking a more profound experience, I also offer an ancestral medicine called Kambo. This purgative resets the body, boosts immunity, and clears mental blockages, such as negative self-talk, bad luck, stagnation, anxiety, panic attacks, and suicidal thoughts.

This is not a “one-and-done” journey; it’s a process that helps you reconnect with your true self.

As for our name, this brand, it came to me as an intuitive download. I heard a voice, and the name was simply given to me. I don’t feel I had a hand in choosing it or in determining how to navigate it—it was chosen for me. And once I embraced it, it became an incredible journey and a generator of new creations along the way. Every step I take in serving my clients opens a new door, leading me to new opportunities to serve my community and grow as a woman, mother, and healer.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Many of my clients are not aware of my ceremonial work, as they may not yet be open to the concept of healing through ancestral psychedelic medicines. In addition to this work, I am a spoken word artist and poet. I’ve also been part of the kink community, exploring experiences as both a submissive and a Dominant. The interplay between pain and pleasure became an incredibly profound teacher.

I also identify as polyamorous. Although I’ve remained single since COVID, living polyamorously taught me how to love in its purest form—without attachment or possession. This perspective can be applied to many areas of life, allowing one to live from a place of non-judgment and compassion.

In addition, I’m a poet and spoken word artist and have been on a few poetry stages or online poetry communities, around the country over the last 15 years.

All of these experiences have helped me understand my clients on a deeply nuanced and empathetic level. I’ve worked with men and women from all walks of life, across a range of ages and income levels. These shared human experiences allow for a deeper rapport and a meaningful connection with each beautiful soul I have the privilege to work with.
