Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheryl Shaffer

Hi Cheryl, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a retired US Army Military Police First Sergeant who honorably served my country. From my law enforcement and military instructor experience, I started my own security training company and security service company. I am certified to train in CA, AZ and NV. I enjoy training and helping my community get employed, especially the veterans. I started my business in 2012 and still going strong.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In the beginning in starting my company, I struggled with gaining financial capital. I was fortunate to grow my business organically through my reputation. This caused more cash flow to float and grow my business. One of the biggest challenge has been California’s gun laws. As a firearms instructor, I encounter new and impeding gun laws every year that affect me and my customers. Guns don’t kill-people do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
CAS and Sons Group does business as CAS and Sons Protective Group (Training) and CAS and Sons Security Services. I am a disabled veteran, minority, woman owned business. We believe in training a global community. training the community on gun laws and safety, training individuals to become professional security officers, and we offer affordable security services. What sets us apart from our competitors is the quality of our training and our prices. We want the customer to get their money worth and more, We offer private classes, group classes and individual coaching. When it comes to our security services we place experience security officers at the needed location. Most of security officers are former military or law enforcement or current law enforcement. We want our customers to feel they are safe as well as their property/assets. We have trained over hundreds of US Veterans for free in getting their guard cards for employment.
