I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The life of a therapist is one committed to ongoing reflection and growth. As I continue to serve a wide base of clients presenting with a diversity of issues I am frequently met with internal challenges to navigate as I grow to better serve my clients.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Embark Therapy?
I founded Embark Therapy to help people gain deeper insight, work through past pains, and embark on their unique journey within. In our fast-paced world, choosing to slow down and look within is counter cultural. At Embark we join with people to help strengthen their ability to reflect and uncover that which has been overlooked in their history. By uncovering unprocessed emotions and allowing them to be expressed they can move on from the past while cultivating greater capacities to thrive in the present.
Every therapist uses their own distinct approach to healing. We specialize in providing thoughtful, personalized support for a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or life transitions, we’re here to help you make sense of your experiences and move forward with greater clarity and resilience.
My primary therapeutic modality is psychodynamic depth therapy. I specialize in providing a warm, empathic environment and helping people overcome cognitive defenses that block the natural expression of healthy emotions. People I work with often find internal peace and freedom when they allow their emotions to be processed and expressed in the safety of the therapy room and beyond.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Playing arcade games at Castle Park Golf in Sherman Oaks, with my dad. I remember the joy he took in watching me have fun even though he was unable to play along as he was sick, it reminds me of the joy I take in seeing my clients succeed. The memory has extra significance as he has since passed.
