Today we’d like to introduce you to Rich Trapp.

Hi Rich, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We’re a small team with big dreams, surfers and parents with active lifestyles. We started Nu Bloom because we had a problem, we couldn’t sleep. We came up with a ‘Nano’ hemp extract that combines CBD with Melatonin, Valerian and L-Theanine but at micro-doses. We didn’t want to blast our system with too much of anything. And it worked. We then found that people needed help with stress, sore muscles, PMS and more so we came up with a whole line of Sprays & Topicals to fit all the needs of our customers.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It took us a while to formulate the perfect Nano-spray, every CBD product we tried tasted pretty funky and it turned out only 30-40% of the medicine actually made it into the system. So we broke down the formula to a molecular level so the body can absorb 80-90% of the CBD instantly. And we made it minty and a little sweet so it’s like a little breath freshener too! When we first started, no one really knew what CBD was so that was a challenge. We found that once people tried our products, something happened, we let the customer tell us how it works and makes them feel. That organic approach has worked. We like slow, steady growth. It’s been quite a ride.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re basically a small crew of active folks from Malibu who found that as we got a little older, we wanted a few things to sleep better. To balance the stress of the day and good smelling topicals that helped our aches & pains. Our Sleep spray is the star of the show, it just works. Every other delivery method takes way longer to absorb in the body and left us feeling groggy in the morning. The difference is- our Nano Spray absorbs instantly and we wake up feeling clear. Rub some Relief Balm Stick on a sore neck or shoulder and you not only feel better, you smell amazing. Crazy good combo!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
The main component of our products is the Hemp. We source from one farm in Oregon, a family that’s been cultivating the living soil for five generations. They form a co-op of farmers and growers that are USDA certified Organic and they’re also just really cool, awesome people. We’ve had incredible support from retailers like Erewhon, an amazing place to find all the natural things your body needs and they love our products. We’re small fish in a big ocean, when a place like Erewhon gave us a chance, we were immensely grateful. We also had an immediate bond with Come Back Daily in NYC, Stephen Phan is a big fan of our Sleep spray and he is a well-respected authority and advocate for all things Hemp. He believed in and supported us from the beginning. The people who actually make our products and help with all the day-to-day are so special, Jacqueline and Luis and now Veronica, also our resident PHD Ron makes sure the science is on point.
