Today we’d like to introduce you to Maxine Divon.
Hi Maxine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I climbed the ladder at a young age. As a child of immigrants, I’m the first generation born in the West. Raised with an immigrant mentality and the hustle culture of New York, success meant mastering the power structures and institutions of our time. By the age of 25, I had an MBA from Harvard Business School, and by 28, I was one of the youngest Vice Presidents with a massive purview at NBCUniversal, a world-renowned media empire. I worked alongside some of the most powerful leaders in TV and digital media and collaborated with executives across advertising and tech. Over time, I became disillusioned by what I experienced at the tops of these institutions. Only after resigning did I realize how much I had burned out. My intention for greater clarity, purpose, and balance gave way to a year of tremendous uncertainty, growth, and awakening.
The next five years represented a sort of hermitage for me, entering the chrysalis of a new life and timeline as I unknowingly embarked on a profound metamorphosis. I moved to Tel Aviv for love and started advising Founder/CEOs of venture-backed startups by day while exploring healing modalities by night. I studied Jungian psychology, astral meditation using the chakra system, and ancestral healing. Two and a half years into building a new life in Israel, I felt a strong urge to return to the United States and to fulfill a long-held dream of moving to Los Angeles.
These last two+ years in the City of Angels have been a period of immense integration. I dove deeper into ancestral healing, studied shamanic dreamwork, was initiated into Tarot, and received a “magic wand” when I completed a certification program in a field called Archetypal Astrology. I began to integrate my spirituality by offering group containers for women to connect with the Divine Feminine on their own journeys of becoming. I guided men and women into the seat of their power as we communally explored accessing higher timelines for self and humanity. Two new teachers arrived in the form of plant allies ~ the heart-opening medicine of Cacao and the ancient Queen of all flowers, the Rose ~ who accompany me in many of my practices today. Now that my inner wizard was armed with her wand, and as the Age of Aquarius fell increasingly upon us, the time was ripe to begin offering my services in the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey was definitely not a straightforward adventure! There were a few big windows of time – sometimes months or years-long – when the Universe was trying to redirect me, and I didn’t catch on so easily. The first one was the months leading into my departure from NBCUniversal, and sometime thereafter (all during my Saturn return), when I would continue to explore media industry opportunities when life was really calling me inward and into a whole new relationship with the Universe. The second was moving to Tel Aviv, which forced me to reinvent myself in a very different business culture, despite staying in the same industry given I was working with tech/media-related startups. And finally, my move back to America may have been the toughest of all as it was during the pandemic, my partner and I decided to plan our wedding abroad, and I spent a year and a half again chasing more external work opportunities that didn’t align before finally accepting and owning my gifts, and deciding to launch my own practice. This choice, and all the micro-decisions leading up to it, opened up whole new worlds for me and guided me deeper into my soul purpose. We’ve been impressed with The Power Within with Maxine Divon, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is in service of birthing more integrated, holistic, and heart-centered people in the world so they can step into their soul gifts and make the impact they came here for. The common thread is restoring a very integrated sense of Power Within. When I studied my human design (with Luisa Lucia, who you profiled and I highly recommend as a guide!), I was able to decode and confirm a life purpose of birthing new forms of Leadership in the business world and beyond. This new leadership paradigm rebalances masculine & feminine principles and ushers us into new Power structures (what I call “Power With” systems), which all are very connected to the Age of Aquarius and build upon the work of David Hawkins (Map of Consciousness), Carl Jung (Archetypes), Richard Rudd (Gene Keyes), and more.
I offer opportunities for personal soul growth, business advisory, and a powerful new curriculum in Leadership development. My services range from 1:1 Archetypal Astrology readings (limited), to group coursework and then higher end programs to give birth to new paradigms of Leadership. It’s a combination of in-person work in LA with online opportunities to serve my global audience.
What are your plans for the future?
Building momentum so that I can serve a greater audience in LA and beyond. There’s a lot to do!
